I won my last game on Intelligent using alliances. Myself and the Drengin had wiped out everyone else. We traded a lot he sometimes paid me tribute so we were close and each controlled about half the map. Instead of trying a long war, I proposed an alliance but I had to throw in one extra tech to finalize the deal. Since the game would end soon after that, it was no big deal. However, the message at the end said I won a Cultural Victory. Is that right? Todd

I think something interesting is happening. I finished a brand new game over the weekend. When checking the final stats, the CPU civs had an average tax rate of ~40% while mine was 70%. You think they should have been able to bump their taxes up like me since I had great morale. todd
