Thanks, will do!

smcFanControl didn't work for me, even though I had my fans at the max setting. The game crashed just as soon as I started it; my system was "only" 56C when I loaded up the game. :(
[quote] I don't think it's broken, per se. GalCiv2 is the only game that makes my computer do this. Other games like Crysis don't. I would think GC2 wouldn't need more resources than that game. If a computer restarts to overheating, it's broken. Obviously, not all programs are capable of stressing the system so much that it overheats. But on a proper system you could even install programs which would deliberately try to overheat w
[quote] I've noticed that this seems to behave like a heat issue. On a cold startup I was able to play without problems for three hours. Then it restarted the first time. After that, it would restart sporadically every few minutes like it has been. Other graphically-intense games don't make my laptop do this (Crysis, Call of Duty 4, The Witcher), and I keep the graphic settings in the medium to high range. Still, I'm enjoying the game as much as I c
Yes, I have the exact same problem with the demo of GC2 Gold! Except my MBP is slightly lower spec than yours with a 128MB X1600. Apparently I just won a copy of GC2 from a contest so I was just waiting for that in hope of it being just an issue with the demo, but I guess that's not the case. I tried playing around with the video drivers and such, using Omega Drivers now. All other games (Vampire Bloodlines, Civ4, HL2) run fine.
Yeah, I mean a huge .exe. I don't really like using SDC (plus I play some games emulated in Linux and I can't get SDC working there). BTW, for some reason the Quote button doesn't seem to work for me in Firefox.
Yarlen, Ah, I didn't check back with that thread. I agree that I've received EXCEPTIONAL value from TotalGaming (though I really haven't played most of those games, I mostly upgraded to get the GalCiv expansion and The Corporate Machine). But what I find disappointing is the fact that a promise that was made wasn't delivered on, and as a result of that, I got less than what I was supposed to get. I'll probably renew when GalCiv2 starts being b
So I guess those whose account expired before they could get the additional two games that were promised for last year aren't going to be compensated for that?
Yeah, I was one of those subs, so I'm curious.
So are the "two new games" the same two additional games that were supposed to be released last year? Or are we to expect four new games?
Well, my subscription expired. I've gotten two less games than I was supposed to get, and I've gotten zero feedback from Stardock employees since my previous post on this topic. I'm definitely not resubscribing unless I'm properly compensated for this.
But January doesn't really count since we weren't promised a game for January.
Nope, JTurnas, we're missing two games. As per a post above, August was Political Machine, September was Robin Hood and and November was Frontline Command. We're missing October and December.
Good luck with the whole situation, Yarlen. And if I may make a suggestion: credit those of us affected by this with an additional couple of months worth of TotalGaming service. My subscription expires in ten days, and at this point I've gotten two games less than what was promised when TotalGaming launched (though I did subscribe BEFORE TotalGaming launched; I was a Drengin subscriber). I don't see any other way to resolve the situation, unless you ch
I remember Strategy First was facing some financial issues that perhaps could have contributed to this delay. However, it would be nice if StarDock actually *told* is this instead of keeping quiet. I believe my subscription expires in February, and it's likely that I'm not going to renew unless I see a new game by then. I seriously would have no problem with this situation if we weren't actually promised two more games for the last year.
Disciples II: Ultimate edition has "Multiplayer Scenerios" listed under it. That should be "Multiplayer Scenarios".
Is there any estimate on the Political Operatives Kit availability? I'm a TotalGaming subscriber, and I'm not seeing the Political Operatives Kit.
fugmulch, it's the next generation. Your drengin.net account gets converted to totalgaming.net. I'm definitely going to be renewing mine when it expires in February, this stuff is great.
