I would say Forces of light could use new grunts and Catapultasauri. They should have more slim fighters with swords as grunts, and actual catapults. Dinosaurs seem evil to me for osme reason :/ Forces of Darkness need different angels and maybe a more menacing giants? There are general only items, and associated items which assassins might not take (Stuff with +4 minion damage for example). What is missing IMO are Assassin only items! I would like stuff that goes in slots that the general items go, but for assassins. These woudl be debuff items (Like AOE - health items tha towudl be say -300 health for 10 seconds, which woudl work not great vs DGs but wonderfully on minions!), buff items (Like maybe if u activate it it will give u bonus damage reduct
I find LB to have terrible pathing compared to Rook because of minions! Sometimes my LB is not as responsive if I have some minions also selected!
I find it Sedna does great if she can weave in and out of reinforcement wave. If I can catch her in the open she probably can't outheal the damage I can dish out with swift rook. But if I have to go through ton of reinforcements to deal damage to her, she can heal and deal damage back to me so I run or die :/ It's better not to follow any demigod into a swarm of mobs as a rule, but she has healing so it's even harder to down her on the run in that situation.

Here is a problem you run into if you do not balance all DGs for 1v1... Dgs will have different playability in 3v3 then 5v5 brackets. Like some DGs may be too good in 3v3 but normal in 5v5. Some may stink in 3v3 but be acceptabnle in 5v5. There will still be DGs that stink in both compraed to other DGs! And like you said you don't even want to discuss stacking DGs! I too had quite a few crashes in demo as well. I can't play Erebus(application jsut closes halfway through the game), nor can I host MP match(Game crashes right after launch). I have specs slightly better than the minimum :/
Lugh I found that even stacking Speed items on Rook, once you are bitten you cannot escape from Erebus! Bite lowers speed :/ Usually I speed away before he bite me lol.
Well to me the idea of it is to kill his minions, if you manage to nail this slippery fellow all the more power to you lol :)
To know how to balance a game you must know what was teh development thinking behind all the mechanics. Then you take what they wanted to achieve and compare it to what you believe was achieved and then you can know if Balancing is waranted. XP Lead is not major on itself. But if you are more experienced player and you can kill the opponent, you probably know how to level better than him (read more efficiently). So the gap will grow. The dying is not really the cause of the gap, but more of a symptom. There are strategies to catch up if your team is behind on XP, like not getting priests before the other team. Yes they have more grunts but that means more XP per wave for your side if you are killing the grunts!
I noted from playing the Demo that poor Rook has really hard time with Erebus. I mean it's impossible to kill the bastard. This may not be true of other Demigods, or it may be true, but I play Rook mainly. One thing that got me thinking is that Hammer Slam should be rather effective vs him, because his DPS is just insane with ton of little minions about (and I'm hoping this would clear them). But I never go Hammer slam, so I have not tried it. My non-hammer-slam build is just so good against
I play the demo, I lvoe the potion drops, it makes sense to me. Otehrwise I would be bussing back and forth to the base all the frikin time. I would say I would end up probably spending most of my kill money on teleprot scrolls, or I would lose all the time advantage I got killing someone. Also the healing demigods would be imba.

What about some sort of diminishign returns on kills. The first time you kill guy u get 100% of the bounty, but if you kill him again within 5 minutes you get 50%. After 5 minutes it goes up 10% per minute or something, so at 6 minutes after first kill you get 60%, at 7-70%.If the person gets a kill however, they go back to 100%. It would give incentive for the side getting pwned to take some risks as well. Because their reward would be 100%, while dyign woudl only give the opponent 5
I withhold my critique till I had a chance to sample and done a bit more research. But from astethic point of view, it frikin rules thusfar. I love the clothmap, but I understand there will be different way of viewing the game, which will be good too.
Well to be honest I don't play rook like most play rook actually. Speed is not my problem at all. I stack speed early on, I don't need HP cause I just hide behind my light towers most of the time. I really shine once I get some more gear mid game where I get enough speed to chase people down.
