Hey Ray. Still hanging around, although not too much time/energy to play GalCiv these days. Tacticus, the number I gave was a pure invention of my mind :d

G-spot LOL
Too easy. In life, you have to learn to live with the consequences of your own actions.
That's what an open empire is. It is like a house which is always opened. Anyone is free to enter and stay as long as they want. When they feel they are ready to leave the house and tackle new adventures, everyone is free to do so.
What do you get from espionage that you find the use of credits is worth it and why? Not saying it has no use, I am just curious since the info esp gives is useless when I look at me so I have no idea why I would buy it about other races.
One advantage I personally like with espionnage is that it enables me to see AI's abilities percentages. For instance, if my next victim has 200% in weapons and 200% in defense, I know I better look for some of his military resource star
I am probably wrong, Staffa, I must be confusing with genius.
oh, ok. for some reason i was thinking shareware.
Well, the very first FPS (Castle Wolvenstein, Doom, etc...) were shareware. Maybe that's why :)
The AI already has some important economic and social advantages (pop growth, morale, production, etc...) at intelligent level. Add to that the fact they start trading a lot between themselves at that level, and you get an idea.
I am so excited just by reading that story.... :)
Laser Squad nemesis! Why, oh why, a day is only 24 hours?
Those new space sharks (from anomalies) can be challenging. In my last game (tiny map), 3 of them were running lose on the map, having the time of their life. It's only once I was able to get a few frigates out that the problem was solved ;) The more I play this beta, the more I am impressed. I have never seen a beta so stable. This could be a final version, and no one would see a difference :)
That's all nice, but where are the girls? There are female astronauts. Some girls must be interrested into galactic domination, I am sure ;)
But... but... Trolls need love too! :p
If you are getting bored with a specific strategy, my best advice is to go up to the next difficulty level. I still need to get bored at masochistic :)
I would agree with EB. Pretty much the same with 1.05 as far as I can tell.
I would edit my post, but somehow, the 'edit' button is missing.
Here is another one. Sector with starbase, moved in transports and starfighters with no problem. Attacked orbit with starfighters, but when I tried to invade the planet with transports, I got the message 'The current position of the ship it out of range... etc...', which, of course, was not true, because of the starbase. Saving and re-loading worked though.
Yeah, the AI won't touch sub-15 planets,
I have seen it doing this on very rare occasions, mostly PQ14 planets on gigantic maps. Although, it might have been after a planet invasion, where the PQ dropped due to chemicals.
Looks good to me :)
FUCKING SHIT HOLE BITCH COCK SUCKER MOTHER FUCKER WHORE NIGGER CUMM EATING HERMAPHIDITE SLUT!!
For the record, you spelled "hermaphrodite" incorrectly. Kids these days, sad...
For the record i am a master at conquest games. especially at space games, thats including Galactic civiliaztions.
Wrong. For the record, I think you are rather a master at looking like a moron on a message board.
Welcome to last year.
Any idea if cloaking is now in the game? I believe not, but I am getting the 'invisible ship bug' almost constantly. Reloading the game works, but it seems to be much more frequent than before.
Thanks Ray :) Something weird just happenned. I was researching Dreadnought (still had a good 40 months on them), and invaded a planet. Successful invasion, program tells me I stole 'Cultural Focus'. However, I actually got Dreadnought completed. I have the save game right before the invasion if this would help.
