yuck i would go crazy
chaoticspyder
havent gotten that one yet, ooh how about a tech that lets you build a PQ destroying ship that knocks down the pq of an enemy planet when it lands on it
thats the problem w/all hotseat games :notsure:
yeah ive noticed that also when i try to invade, they just keep building ships
Now im playing a large map w/no luck bonus and yet i found 4 rangers early in the game and now i am slaughtering everybody. Its kind of fun but takes the challenge out of the game because i had them run around collecting bonuses and now they have 30+ attack and defense LOL
yeah ive thought about getting that, do u have it??
How about an event where an astreoid hits ur planet and destroys it, that would be an interesting twist. I really like the ideas to expand the expanding faze (i like that sentence) ;p And aobut having a short range for the star terror. I looove the up but it needs to have more options, i end up getting the same ones in every game. A How about having a specific selector for sectors, like 1 row and 10 columns leading to an iteresting game, not very realistic bu
I would love to see a rare event which when happens completely decimates the population on a planet and makes it unlivable, an asteroid of course.any comments??
so they really affect both ground and ships :d
Can you have multiple trade routes to the same planet? Like Earth To Hestia I and Vestia to Hestia?? Or 2 Freighters going from Earth to Hestia at the same time?, as i have not tried this yet.
you aren't purchasing the ships are you. because if u are then it could be the leases hitting u hard.
don't forget to check ur taxes and spending level frequently in the game.
I would suggest small with only 2 or 3 computer players until you get the hang of the game.
probably considering all the other bonuses in teh game stack. And actually i think they only affect the ships in orbit, not the ground troops, but i could be wrong.
Although i doesn't it say that you have control of 20% of their satellites or something, shouldn't you be able to see wahts going on in their planets, ships in orbit, buildings, etc.
One thing i noticed when i took over a planet is that i kept all the buildings on the planet, including the capitals, so now i had double capitals, does that capital still give me a bonus and has anyone else noticed this?
sell them to other civ's, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having them early in the game. Although i could sell them to a minor civ.
When i started i used small maps with only 2 or three computer players, also with only occasional habitable planets so that i could get a handle on the game.
thats good gerakken :D
Or on ur trade route screen where the routes you have are numbered. If the numbers go up to 4 then you can have four. The ones u don't have yet are blank while the ones u do have include some information about the route
The manual is pretty hopeless for beginners, it took me several tries to finally win a game even with the intelligence on low. U do learn a lot from ur mistakes. This forum was and is still a great help to me.
If you want to prevent the war message you need to do a little espionage on the other races. I got 4 rangers plus fifteen in on of my earlier games but then went bankrupt until i sold them because i had no money to pay for the maint.
Yeah i am finally figuring out that hanging back and trying to overwhelm doesn't work maybe thats why i still suck
In other words you want the destination planet to be in the same column or row as the origination planet. If origin planet on a coordinate plane is (X,Y) then the destination planet should be ({X+k},Y) or (X,{Y+k}) Hope that helps a bit
I recently tried this on a tiny with common habitable planets map and it worked fairly well and easily. I was the war party and i put up all the bonuses that i could that dealt with war. then as soon as i could i mass produced star fighters and transports. I then dominated the galaxy shortly cuz my fighters were awesome early game with all the bonuses. the aliens were only on normal intel and i wonder if anyone has tried this with the higher level intels and if so, has it worked??
