You also forgot that you have to switch from GROSS to an active empire.
You know Newfy I was thinking about that, seriously! I just don't know if anyone else would have me.
Alrighty then thanks a whole lot Peace Phoenix, you've been alot of help to me. :)
So when I install it on the new computer I just need to put the serial number in again and use the same email and alias and it should work?
Hey everyone, my family and I are getting a new computer, and I wanted to know if this procedure I was planing on doing will work ok for putting galciv on it: 1) Finish all games on the old computer, (this one) and uninstall the game. 2) Set up the new computer and install the game back on the new one. 3) And then download and istall all the mods from this website again that I had before. :sniff!: I think all this will work, but I had one very very important question:---- Will my old acount st
Minor races don't trade ships. It's to keep them from getting ripped off.
That's a good idea, it keeps people from getting everything the minors worked hard for! No wait a minute thats what I do, steal from the minors; never mind! LOL :D LOL :D
'Your Mileage May Vary'... it's borrowed from car ads, and basically just a way of saying 'but your opinion/experience may be different'.
Ok thanks Bard of Prey, thats out of the way. I just thought it was pointless and a little annoying for Gomman to keep posting 'boring' over and over again, and thats why I posted what I posted. :)
Here's the question: why don't I hear yer holler over in Tortuga, matey?
Well I don't know really, I guess nothing of real interest to me... I just don't know. I've also been a little low on time I guess; in fact I havn't even been able to submit a game in like a week and a half. So I just come here and check the forums every once and a while, and I guess I just didn't think about checking ours. LOL
I have two questions for you guys here: 1) Why did you guys move this post here when it should be in the empire forums? 2) How many of you guys are still submitting games? [Message Edited]
Why even ask for clarification from someone whose opinions are clearly so limited? Personally, I'd say let the forum admins handle the troll and move on... but YMMV...
LOL :D LOL :D LOL Good point, only one question: what does YMMV mean?
Hey Gomman, what's with all this 'boring' stuff? I mean whats the use? Are you airing your opinion about something, because if you are you arn't making yourself very clear.
Glad we could help Arcalian, have fun with AP its a great game! ;)
If what you mean by 'apps' is which one pops up and asks me... its just a regular one that asks me if I'd like to download the latest version of stardock central. Stardock Central 2.00c[b].90 (beta) is the newest one it asks me to download. Hope this helps you. [Message Edited]
Ummm Arcalian, I think that where ever you got your information.... well let's just say that its wrong. You can play campaign whenever you want, and you can make/customize your own maps whenever you want. As far as I known (I may be wrong, so if anyone can correct me I'd be thankful) you can also play random games just like you can in galciv, so yes I think your wrong and I think where ever you got your information is wrong too. I hope this helps. :)
Happy Birthday!
Thanks alot jmgarth that means alot to me! :) :)
Yet more proof that Stardock games appeal to all ages. You're almost 15 and I'm over 50, and we share the opinion that GC is our favorite game.
I agree with that completely! It is one of my favorite games of all time, and I've been playing it ever since it came out! :D LOL :D LOL :D Also I know for sure that I'll be playing this game even more if I get AP for my birthday; sinc
if you go to Help->About Stardock Central it will tell you.
Ok I'll check it out.
Please include the build number.
What is this "build number"? I don't know much about it, so I'll need more detail please. I'm sorry I'm so incompetent with this stuff, but thanks for your time and patience.
Anwser to JakeC: I think I'm running the version right before the update called beta something. I'm sorry I can't give exacts on it, but I sure that the update has beta in it if that helps? :notsure:
That is good news frogboy, and the reason I havn't bought AP already is because I'm waiting for my birthday and I asked for it as a birthday present. (I'm turning fifteen.)
I never was this loyal to a game company as I am yours.
I agree with you there Desert Fox, and aside for lucasarts games (yes I'm a big starwars fan) this is my very favorite game you guy's made!
It wasn't your stupidity as much as me not being clear. Sorry 'bout that!
It's ok thanks for helping me at all.
As long as we finally communicated, all is well!
That's right! ;)
Let me know how it turns out.
If I ever get around to working with it I'll do that! I'm signing out for the night, so goodnight Moser and thanks again for your time and insight on my question! :)
OHHHHH I think I get what you mean now Moser! Do you mean the .ship file that the galciv writer puts into the data folder in mycomputer/galciv/data? Because if thats what you mean then I think I understand enough to try it sometime. Thanks alot Moser, I might mess around with it.-------P.S. Sorry Moser for my stupidity, I just couldn't understand what you were saying and I've already spent enough time trying to get it to work on my own with no sucessful result. So anyway thanks alot! ;)
Ok thanks, I think I get it. But I think I have tried putting my own created model in the galciv writer, using the method you jus told me. But I could be mistaken, I just don't know exactly. But its ok if I can't get it fixed because I'd rather spend my very little galciv time on trying to submit games! ;) LOL
Hey I was wondering, how do you get your own graphics model into the galciv writer? I've edited a ship in the game, and now I'd like to get it into the game. I've made all new ship data for my new ship I want in the game, but I can't get it to save to the correct kind of file so that I can load it into the galciv writer. I'm usig MGI PhotoSuite as the program to edit the way the ship looks, but I just can't seem to get it into the galciv writer!! >:( Any help is welcome.
I'm having trouble with SC. (stardockcentral) When I start it up and go into the very first screen you see, it asks me if I'd like to download the very latest version. So of course I say yes, so it goes ahead and tries to download it but when I exit and get back into to it a different time to check for new updates for galciv, it asks if I would like to download it again! >:( So I asume that that means it didn't sucessfully download the latest version, and I get the same result every time. Pleas
Hmm.. That's very odd Weyrleader. Someone should look into that.
Hey Weyrleader I'll see ya sometime at the Claw! ( Thats only if I get the time.) ;)
