Oh drat... I'm neutral! Hmm... *Ponders Neutral Thought* ~SDC~
Rabid Rob
Rabid Rob sez... Just keep hitting it with Antimatter missiles. Rabid Rob's Space Casino gives good odds that 2 or 3 will kill anything! Altho I like the idea of buying it from them better, heh. Have fun! :CONGRAT: ~SDC~
Ahem... Rabid Rob's Space Casino would like to enquire about your Product Placement or Advertising rates. Rabid Rob's Space Casino, where the finest in Interspecies Probabilty takes place! This is obviously a very fine product after all! :) ~SDC~
The might of the various Pirates and Sharks seems to be directly proportional to time passed (or tech researched?). On my tech victory game, I saw some truly impressive baddies show up, able to survive an antimatter missile. Fortunately, I had a half dozen more around if needed :D
Those translator droids can be quite effective. The Goldenrod model seems to work especially well, when abused for its perceived mistakes. I have my doubts they are supposed to be _that_ effective though... ;p
In a galaxy far, far away, the Altairans were cut off by the Drengin early on in the colonization race, as well as being surrounded by sectors without 15+ stars. Eventually, the mighty Emperor Rabid Rob began to carve up the (literally) galaxy spanning Drengin Empire. Suddenly, the Altairans discovered a Precursor device which caused all uninhabited worlds within 2 parsecs to gain +14 to their Planet Quality! :SURPRISED: At this point, the Altairans revealed how stupid they
The Corvette rules! It's the cheapest way to build up the illusion of a high military rating, which is a valuable diplomatic tool the sooner you get it. Generally, though, the ship with the highest ATT seems to rule. I haven't seen anything one what ATT and DEF do, however. I think the antimatter missile is my fave :D I like selling a pack to someone who just had his fleet fried, and watching the other guys military rating go poof! :CONGRAT:

Colonizing the sub 15's is a bit of an ongoing argument, it seems :) My take (which is why I say they suck :D ) is that the sub 15's aren't ever gonna be able to pay well or produce well. GalCiv is set up so that high PQ planets will perform a lot better. After awhile, heck, even those PQ 15 planets start to seem wimpy LOL All that aside, though, there are times when those sub 15's become attractive. Especially when I'm a long way from being top dog in the galaxy
On the Governer page, you can increase your overall spending, and increase spending in a particular area of manufacturing, both of these will increase your manufacturing. For example, many people increase spending to 100% (it takes population and improved governement to increase this max level) right at the start, as well as shifting most if not all spending to manufacturing. That way, your next colony ship can get done in 3 (says 2) turns. On Starbases, you can build modules which gi
I didn't take the test because my score is way to high (:( just from being someone who plays GalCiv ;)
Yo... Other than recolonizing the same planet over and over -- which should make ya evil on it's own :) -- is there a good war to force alignment changing? I didn't notice UP votes or exploding stars making a big align diff either, heh heh heh. I need an evil grin smily with some Fangs!
I would also add that the Fusion Power is cheap to build early on, which is nice early on... :)
I can't remember where I read it, but these choices in GalCiv are meant to parallel the difficult choices made, for example, by the early American settlers which devestated the Native American population. Yes, tha'ts right, you are evil, Evil, EVIL! :D
Plus, when ya blow a star up, there's this itty bitty poof, and that's it. :sniff!: I wanted sooper novas! And I can't blow up unoccupied stars, whats up wit dat? I mean, hey, if I wanna be truly evil, and destroy every star in the galaxy... :HOT:
Purple stars are yellow stars with an influence bonus, but no bonus to PQ far as I can tell. Purple and yellow always have PQ 15+ planet, yellow stars seem to be worth ~10 influence, and purple ~20. Notice that when a minor race appears, they convert their star to yellow. I want that tech 8-) :d Every other star, regardless of color, will pretty much suck. Rarely, however, you will find a star system with ~50 influence, supposedly from Precurser left overs. :CONGRAT:
Dang, ya spoiled my party plans! LOL Congrats! Your BCs are on the way, as soon as your bank account is cleared, which I am sure won't take to long, eh heh heh heh! Hey Hairy, the Rabid Rob Space Casino Module will be happy to negotiate almost any odds for when the Illuminati get to a million, but if you read the fine print, the current members will still have to be the majority of the empire at the time of achieving this grand feat! ;) An interesting side bet
Second day in a row I get here right after the Taco of Hairiness! :D Velocity for 7/30 to 7/31 Fellowship of the Ring............29543.8 G.R.O.S.S.........................21028.9 Mid-Western Confederation..........7691.4 Both teams have slowed down, but the power of the one Ring to rule them all seems paramount. All those early bets on GROSS are gonna make me rich! Thanks Ray, your cut is in the mail once you win ;) Looks like the party is at Rabid
fffttffftttfffffff... :notsure: Due to a, err, Computer Error, yes, it was a Computer Error, the previous data values were corrupted. The allegations of bribe taking are all FALSE, there were no bribes tendered, there were no bribes accepted! Let's get a quick update on the surprising developments in the Million Empire Race! Positions at 7/28/2003 G.R.O.S.S.......................861269.2 Fellowship of the Ring..........840491.2 Mid-Western Confederation.....
Yes, shades are good! :HOT: Oh yeah, the calculator would be a good idea too ;) I would love to have the metaverse, or sumthing, clearly show this scoring. My first game gave me 1:1 in the metaverse, my second more like 2:1, and since then, it seems like whatever I put in, I got around 1-2k, despite a fair bit o' variation. LOL OH THE HORROR!!! LOL well, I made it to page 9 so far, so I'm feeling :HOT: ~SDC~
and then this Debian, and an Alexian walk into a bar, right, only their both so short that... what? What are you pointing at?... Hey, Folks, welcome back to Rabid Rob's Space Casino, the only Space Module built for Fun Fun Fun, this side of Terra! The only place in this galaxy where you can get a Melnorme Fun ROM, truly a life changing experience! Let's get a quick recap of the standings: Positions at 7/28/2003 G.R.O.S.S.......................861269.2 Fellowship of
Yeah, I like it when Sol is a purple star. Obviously, because our ozone layer got destroyed, our scietists deployed a chemical to block the UV rays. As a side effect, Sol is now bright purple! The fact that the lead scientist on the project was a punk rocker is, of course, a coincidence. LOL Plus, did you know about Counter Earth? All those comic book references to another Earth orbiting on the opposite side of the sun are actually true! :SURPRISED: We've decided to call the p
Place your bets early while the odds are good! Can you correctly guess who will make the first million? GROSS has taken an early lead, and have 3 of the top 5 scorers in the Metaverse! But how dependent are they on these three mighty players to sustain their power? The Fellowship appears to have quality in depth, and good morale. If the rallying cry is sounded, they may yet rise like a tidal wave, and swamp the GROSS empire! The MWC (Mid-West Confed) has twice as fa
just said boo to... GreenReaper ;) ~SDC~
Obviously, if you had remembered your towel, everything would have worked out fine. Ah well!
