RegnorVex, have you contacted stardock about your specific configuration? They may be able to help you. And just to let you know, it only takes 1 player in a game to hose it up for everyone. So even if most of the players were experienced and one had a bad setup/connection (as was likely the case given one person had problems connecting all day), it will ruin it for everyone. Indeed there are still connection problems, but believ

I just disagree.

SolaceAvatar, Just because you didn't "hurt" someone doesn't mean it isn't against the law. Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing software pirates in the same group as murderers or kidnappers, but it is still against the law. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to most people nowadays, but to me it is still a problem. If you take something that is not yours, even if that person will never notice, it is still wrong. If it weren't why wouldn't all

The fact of the matter is: the single player game was not intended to be "free to the public" no matter how big or small a part of the software it is. The game has a user agreement and nowhere in it, does it say: "You can use this software for free as long as you don't go online to play with other people." Just because something is easy to get, doesn't mean it is right to actually take it. While piracy may not affect the s

There was a UI mod in beta that did exactly what you want. As soon as we get past the connection problems and can use mods again. I assume this will be one of the first things that get released.

Glad you like the game. We hope you'll support Stardock and GPG and buy it. I think you'll find the investment well worth it. Welcome to the community.

Demigod does not require online activation ... If it did we wouldn't have all the pirates stealing the game. You only have to go online to get updates from Impulse. Unless you bought the digital version of the game, then yes *gasp* you have to login to download it. Clear enough? That said, the point Brad was making was even if all you had to do w

And that is the point we are trying to let you know about schlista. Those of us that have been with Stardock for a long time are very (!!) loyal. There is a reason for it. Give stardock a chance to fix the problems. Believe it or not, many of us can play MP just fine. It is very unfortunate that not everyone can play. The fact is, that Stardock and GPG are just as frustrated (probably more) that the game doesn't meet expec

I have to agree, I'd like an "even" playing field, i.e. where my teamates are at the hard level and so are the opposing team. I imagine we'll be able to mod this. We'll see

For all those that say don't look at new demigods until you have the bugs fixed. REmember there are multiple types of people working on this game. They may want to start working on new Demigods so that the art team can get going. It doesn't always help to throw all your people on problems especially if they are not familiar with the area being worked on. So believe it or not, I am assuming that Stardock & GPG can multi-task. <p

[sarcasm]Could some please nerf all other players. I am slow [e digicons]X([/e] and everyone else is too fast. I make bad item decisions and I don't know what is the optimal order for buying things. So to make sure the game is fair, please nerf player response speed. Yes, the game is $40 for the digital download version, with that version you can play online without restriction. You will need to setup an impulse account (impulse is the digital download client - allows you to download the game), then using the same e-mail address you used to buy the game, you log into impulse and then you can download the entire game to your computer and it will notify you when updates are available. The networking of the game is pe

It won't ever happen. Impulse is part of the networking system the game is based on. Just like Dawn of War 2 will never be on impulse. Not that they don't want to share, but part of the game is based on that specific digital distribution platform. In this case, if you are unsure that impulse will be around in 5 years, 10 years, etc. I wouldn't worry about that. Stardock has been doing digital distribution a lot longer than steam/valve.&nbs

[quote who="Dathmar" reply="11" id="2144642"]I must admit I was very disappointed not to get some sort of campaign and agree with the review that its a little light on content. I think we will get more content but sadly via mini expansions like Sins and not via patches. IIRC, hard means the AI is the same as you (i.e. no bonus money or xp). You might try to direct your allies by pinging the map (press the "P" key when you have your mouse over the area of interest) where you want your allies to go.
