"...but I'm not bitter..." One of my favorite phrases after being slighted by something. :) -- B

Muggs, same here in the states...May 9th, right? I love my mom too, but I couldn't live with her. We're too much alike and we don't get along if we're together for too long. Like my dad says "We're two Aces of Spades in the same deck of cards." -- B

Muggaz, keep on writing man. Don't listen to that prick JeremyG because he's just trying to goad you. I've been writing more and more lately, not to get into the top ten, but for my own pleasure. I think you should just keep doing what you're doing if it makes you happy. -- B

The "looking out for number 1" concept would have to step aside in deference to the "looking out for the other guy" mentality. Boy, I truly wish I didn't have to live by that credo, but since a lot of people that are out there are trying to screw me over for their benefit, that's unfortunately the route I have to take. My family and I first, everyone else second. Don't get me wrong, I like to help people out, but there's a point t

Ditto here. I can see your point in where kids can be a pain in the ass, I have two. If the waitress does her best to give good service, then the tip will reflect that. But as with all professions, there are some bad apples. I'm usually a generous tipper, but there have been times where the waitress has gotten a note rather than a tip, expressing why they did not get one. Good job, and keep picking your ass in front of bad people. :) --

I take it none of you have been to the bayou country. You think Ebonics is difficult to follow? Try figuring out what one of the swamp-dwellers from Louisiana is saying! -- B

Brad said this before, and I thoroughly agree with him: Never say anything to another person online that you wouldn't say to their face. I often wonder how many cyber-spats would have been avoided around here had the participants adhered to that rule of thumb. That's how I treat things here. I'm brash

Good for you dharma. My wife doesn't wear makeup at all. She has a very naturally pretty face. I've always been attracted to women who are of the minimalist approach with makeup, rather than going down the Tammy Fay Baker route. -- B

It seems so grade school to me! It seems to me that most of these kinds of critical posts are written by the JoeUsers who are still in school. Just an observation. -- B

You know, I was thinking that I ought to get a decal for my car..one that says "I'm not A B.E.B...I'm THE B.E.B". Good god. Don't do that. Number one, is that it would probably incite retaliation for being a poseur. Number two, why would you want to even associate yourself even remotely with this gro

My biggest pet peeve? loose vs. lose. For all who are not aware that these are, in fact, two different words: loose - adj. The opposite of tight. "The bolt to his muffler was loose and when he hit a bump it fell off." lose - verb. To misplace something. To not win a contest. "If I'm not careful, I'm going to lose my keys." "The Cubs are going to lose because they are cursed

You think you got it bad? We've got Sysadmin's Day. Link I actually sent out a company-wide email last year on Sysadmin day thanking the other Sysadmins in the company for all of the hard work they did. Just as an appreciative pick-me up for my colleagues. A lot of people thought I was joking around as usual. Some people actually sneered at the thought that Sysadmins around the world should

This reminds me of a funny story when I was stuck in our new Atlanta office late at night with another one of the guys (Josh) I was out there with. I had Rajah (the I.T. guy at the main office) on the speakerphone. He's a little quiet Phillipino dude who's a really nice guy. I see this stupid Kitchen Fresh bullshit on TV and I ask him "Rajah, are you kitchen fresh?" The guy I was in the office with started dying. Rajah pauses for a second and I ca

1. Do you have any unfounded fears? What are they? I'm afraid of heights. Don't know why, but it sure scares the hell out of me. Actually it's a fear of being high with no control factor (like a rail or a cage). 2. Do you dream at night? Do you remember your dreams? I do, but only remember them about 20% of the time. 3. What's your earliest childhood memory? I'd probably say when I was about four or

Blockbuster can kiss my ass. I had so many problems with them it's unbelievable. I went in one day and the store manager was being extremely rude and unhelpful. I basically took out my pocketknife, cut my card in half and told him that I was moving to NetFlix in spite of what he said. I also told him that he could take me to collections for the late fees that they were trying to charge me, and that I was going to contact the BBB about their store.
