Galciv2Guide - Mod section & forums now open in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Just a short note to say that the mods section is now open over at the GC2Guide site. Mods can be uploaded directly and do not require any clearance before they appear. All mods regardless of content are welcomed. The only request we make is that any 'adult' mods are displayed in a suitable manner for a multi-aged site and do state they are intended for adults. We have also just opened the forums as well so i hope to see a few of you over there. With the forum open mem

By far the best way to take screenies is to use a third party program which will save the images ina folder you designate for future use. Some of the best free version around have been tested over at Gizmo's > http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-screen-capture-utility.htm

The site is still very much a work in progress so as new content comes on board you may see the layout change to meet the new needs. I am still looking for a few more people to join in and help write for the forum/website. What i plan on doing is setting up an area of the forums for site publishers to submit there work and i can then copy it over onto the site itself.

Got rid of the issue of leads all over the place by getting a laptop and a wireless printer, wireless external drive for backups, wireless mouse and finally a wireless router :) Now i can just sit on my sofa and do all the things in comfort that i used to have to do at the desk. Plus i have no wire issues at all as most of the drives etc are all inside my cupboard under the stairs. <img src="http://galciv2guide.c

For me it does not work on any game saved before the cheat ending was put in place. Even then i sometimes have to press esc. and then go back into the game to get it to work. It does seem to work when it feels like it :)

I always use asteroid mines to give a boost to my initial colony as the start of play. I tend not to bother to upgrade them though as planetary bonuses tend to overtake what i can get from the mines.
