Wow. If it is as bad as he says, I can only begin to imagine how phenomenal his contributions to the skinning community are. He must be way beyond the genius level, much higher than any of us can aspire to...We're not worthy...We're not worthy...

No it didn't help. I will just make sure to install the final version next week. Hopefully that will take care of it. Thanks, though.
When I try the build option, it shuts down desktop x. When I hit configure, it shuts it down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still will not allow me to get into the configure or build. I would like to go back to the older version, but not sure how to do that, and to wait for the complete version next week.
Thank you!!!Finally!
Before the DX update I have always been able to take different components of whichever theme I was using and adapt them through a graphic program, such as photoshop. I can no longer do that. Something will not allow me to separate the parts of the themes as I did in the past. Has that ability been locked or is it just something that hasn't been addressed in the new set up. Before, whatever theme was active would have its buttons, frames, etc accessible
I have done that. I like to work with certain DX themes that especially appeal to my style and sometimes I have to resize for my screen and I need to take some parts into photoshop to do so. When I had a theme on my desktop it would put that theme into a file where each graphic component was visible and editable. But, now it will not let me get to the individual components. It no longer puts the theme I have on the desktop into that file where each ind
I have been able to create many new desktops for personal use only, but all of a sudden, I am unable to get into the graphics aspects of the themes. I have several I made for myself, but I can no longer get into the parts of the themes to edit them. What has changed that prevents any type of personal editting?
entire themes. When I first got onto Stardock, the theme manager had an option to change themes automatically according to how you wanted it. For some reason it disappeared when it was upgraded. I wish they had it again. I think that people would really like being able to do their themes the same way they can do wallpapers. Would be cool if you could work it up.
I have no abilities for this myself, but I wonder where I could go with the suggestion to add the ability to randomize themes through the theme manager. I would love to just have it set up with a timer/dater whatever. I have so many choices, I would just like to have them set up to change randomly for interest. Who would be able to set that up?
I am trying to download the update, but can't seem to get to the place where I can get to it. Can anyone help?
Thank you! I am really looking forward to it.
Well, I love some of the new stuff coming, but I have found that the beta versions of DX are just not letting some of my stuff work. When I download the beta, some of my objects quit working, or just start freaking out. When is the final full upgrade going to come out for desktop X? There is so much of the new of objects I really want to tap into. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/notsure.g
Thanx Tiggz. Had it in mind that was probably the case. Definitely waiting patiently for more updates. Mainly it is good to know it probably isn't just my machine. That was my main concern.
Since I downloaded the update a couple of days ago, my desktop x has deteriorated consistently. It started with my customized thems and has eventually affected the original thems I have had downloaded for some time. Animations havestopped, graphics disappear, transparent pink isn't transparent in spots, and a lot more I can't remember. Is there something buggy about the latest update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no affect. If anything, it was worse. <img src="http://images.stardock.c
You did answer it. Thank you. Wish there were a way to import those different componets to change or adapt the graphics.
I get a bit frustrated. There are so many awesome DX themes that I would love to use, but I can't seem to be able to customize them to my needs. I have been learning a lot of this through trial and error, but I can't seem to find out how to change the titles on some of the buttons or popups, etc. I have looked through every area of the inner workings, but not finding a place to make that kind of change. Help <
I have yet to find a place to download the update. I have tried going through Stardock Central, the website directly, etc. Haven't found the place that gives the upgrade download. Am I missing something. I have Object Desktop, should be able to find this, but no luck so far. Help?
I have created a calendar which uses a calendar base icon that is angled. I am new at this and have added the month and date and will add more graphics, but would like to know how to find a way to rotate the month and date text to coincide with the angle of the icon? It is still usable of course, but I have a thing about everything working and looking together. Mainly looking as professional as an amateur can make it look.
