I try and zoom out, but nothing appears to change. I click to place a star, but this time an error message appears saying "An unspecified error has occurred". :(

Map Editor Problems in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I seem to be having difficulties getting the map editor to function on my computer. Every time I load up a blank map, all I see is a blank star-field with no grid. If I attempt to place an object onto the map it comes up with an error message stating "Objects cannot be placed too close to the border". When I attempt to load a map, the hardware rendering fails, and the GPU-recoverer bundeled with ATI's catalyst drivers restart the GPU in software-mode only. I use: ATI 7200 serie
