Poor ice TB. Shatter is already bad now, what about when they let us "remove negative effects" after he has done rain/etc and before they shatter? Hehe... -Drexion/Ragarth

Am I the only one dissapointed with this? I was *extremely* excited about everyone being able to make their own AI bot to compete in multiplayer... This shift to single player and "same AI for multiplayer" takes away 80% of my excitement, sadly. -Drexion/Ragarth

Personally I love playing Erebus now (after release). I am currently at over 19-20 wins and 0 losses. It says I have one loss but that was due to a bug from crashing in the lobby before a game even started :(. Do I think he is OP? Yes. Others may disagree, but I have demolished with him in most games. Are there other OP demigods? Hell yes. Erebus just fits my playstyle. I have friends who are extremely good with Sedna, my sedna is average at best... Many people do

Well, sign me up as an Erebus fan... I do have to agree with Innociv, when I play with him I tend to roll over people. Could simply be due to there being so many noobs out there right now though... -Drexion/Ragarth

Frogboy, you should have seen how badly Flurus's team got owned when he played sedna :P...So what your saying isn't quite true ;). -Drexion/Ragarth

Well, the only DG I have played that makes me feel guilty...as if I was cheating...was the rook. Without the staff of renewal even. The thing is, against very good organized opponents...The rook becomes significantly less good. Thats because good opponents interupt properly, etc... Specially in a 3v3, even if the rook stuns one...the other two can interupt easily enough. You then have good rook players do "fake smash" by doing smash then quickly giving a movement order/etc to

Actually, i've found that the AI *does* go right next to my tower and do nothing while I hit them from "out of their range" with regulus. AI is just shitty right now. -Drexion/Ragarth

Reply to game is broken in Demigod

I have put myself in my router's DMZ. I am still getting "freezes" (of 10+ seconds) when navigating menus such as the first menu "multiplayer" button. I have been in the "internet games list" of the custom games section, chatting on the ingame IRC client...and midway through typing a sentence a freeze happens... This kind of thing happened before 3F and after the 3F update. Similarly, Kitkun/Trig were having these issues. Yesterday we kept getting disconnected from games (we believe d

TBO, I would certainly hope the size of the online community was a bit larger than that... Take Dawn of war 2 for example. The online charts started off at like 20k and over the past month it has gone down to 7k or so... This is with numerous bugs, crashes, etc hitting that game and being quite annoying :P...Plus extremely slow developer patch-responses to the issues. Having a "stable" 4000 online community-size would be fine, but given how a vast number will play it fo
Wow, they are really piling out of the woodwork - innociv, Jinx...now where's Drexion? You guys should come play tomorrow morning too. It gets a little more interesting when you have teams of 3 or more and everyone knows the basics. Also hopefully after release there will be space between the Stardock Wringing Hands Brigade and the DoTA Gnashing Teeth Horde for the rest of us to play the game
</

Man, why can't we get an ability like: While minions are alive, % (you set this number) damage you take is spread out to the minions. That way we can't just focus on the hero, AOE attacks which hit the minions could be way more useful (depending on the number set above). ..Of course, it would need some limits like the minions have to be "nearby" for this to work...so you can't leave them at the fountain :P. Another fun ability would be if we could give debuffs to the minions...so ever

Reply to Skill ceiling in Demigod

Fire-Ice, Ke5trel... I haven't been around much lately, been busy with life/Dawn Of War 2/Empire total war... I remember my biggest issue with Demigod being that I felt the "skill ceiling" in DG was from a house made for gnomes (This was way back in beta2). So my question to you two is: Has this changed since beta 2? If so, could you give some examples? I must say that the first post by Fire-Ice made me think that this issue hasn't been resolved...But thought i'd ask explicitly :). Ma

Wait, who was Brad on TA:Spring? Not really a total-annihilation game at all, just a TA mod on the Spring engine...but it was still awesome, specially for a college-open-source project. Played it for years...hehe... [XHC]Drexion on there, lobby moderator ;). -Drexion

The thing is, we are supposed to be able to play 5v5's... Even if this connectivity was 95% or a magical 99%, getting a 5v5 going with 10 specific people will still have issues for a significant % of the time. IMO, unless they can get this technology to connect at like 99.5++ %, they should really implement an alternative. Would be nice if you could select what "connectivity method" you want when you HOST a game...So then the host can decide if he wants to use this new technology or t

Mugizib, I'm Carioca myself, and have played dota quite a bit... As the others have said, Demigod is very different. My strong recommendation would be to wait for release in April and try out the demo. By then we will also know how the game is "turning out"... Boa Sorte! -Drexion
