(3) User created data files and preferences are in the %mydocuments\my games\galciv2 folder Ugh. How do I change this? I don't want game data files on my system drive where they'll clog up my system and probably get lost the next time Windows needs reinstalling. Whatever happened to the good old days of applications keeping their crud to themselves?! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

If you can't afford to build a starbase your ship parks itself on top of the resource. I had 8 ai constructors queueing up while I saved up the necessary funds. Unfortunately the Arceans had declared war and a fighter showed up and gave me an explosive parking ticket LOL ~SDC~
Other than the lack of maintenance, was there any difference to the starbase.ship file from the one in your galciv directory?
When I stop hammering my head on the desk for not just looking at the file in the first place I'll tell you ... The file in my AP directory had an extra 'P' on the end, so 'ENDSHIP' was spelled 'ENDSHIPP'. I cut off the P, renamed the file back, and it works fine. I guess I've been paying startup costs *and* maint on my starbases these

A few minor ones: ai's aren't playing by the rules! Either the first or second UP issue restricted starbase modules to 4. The Drengin have since gone mad building 13+ module bases. Ironically the vote was just me vs Drengin and they voted for the restriction. Bad Drengini. Playing on the Gigantic Balanced custom map, occasionally some of the stars disappear from the minimap, usually the ones near the edges & corners. Same map, there is a star with no planets (Westerfeld) wi

Ugh. Early in the game. Try to add a module to a resource starbase and the list is completely empty :notsure: I'll see what happens when I get a bit more research done. Oh, and thx for giving me a heart attack when the 'fsgs sdf gast wer asfd' popup appeared :D ~SDC~ [Message Edited]
