Well, I you are correct it did not recreate my taskbar icons but I don't mind. It gives me an opportunity to clean up my taskbar and select the applications and folders I access quickly. As for MS Windows 11 Updates introducing more problems - we will just have to live with it or turn off updates and keep an eye out for any reports of "trouble". After the latest Windows 11 Update (2026-06 Preview Update (KB5095093) (26200.8737)) I found that my Taskbar icons reset to some basic icons and I had to start again customising the icons. My Start 11 Version is 2.72. I have also an unrelated issue - sfc /scannow says "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." but runs in Safe Mode and says no problems. I am not sure if another program running in the background caused the problem but I thought I woul
