Melee units should not be chasing angels and other aerial units. They are hopelessly swinging away and chasing them as they follow the angel's flying pattern. Ranged units should probably prioritise their attacks on them, instead.

After having several games with the not so clever AI I have a request. Ping beacons (typical for RTS) - or something similar. A method to communicate some basic requests to the AI demigods, such as "Defend here" or "Attack my target". Something to offer some co-ordination and team work that is so lacking when playing with the AI. Edit: I've been made aware the Single player has this feature. It would also be great for multi-player games
We downloaded it here at work and none of us have got it running fast enough to be playable (we have pretty good machines). Any ideas?
Stop checking everything and trying it on ultra? :P Load times are longer than normal for TW, but they weren't exactly super fast as standard anyway. At most I've up to a minute on waiting. Love the land battles. Constant

Thanks for the whole explanation on the peer-to-peer some more. Although I still struggle to think that client/server was going to be that traumatic for the game. Connectivity is getting better, now to deal with those darn desynchs!

Games are meant to be short. Players shouldn't have to be frantic micro managing in what is being dubbed as the "Counter-strike of RTS". The idols after Level 1 are essentially not worth buying. Just leave it as a single idol and keep their progression in General skills.

Reply to Demigod vs DOTA in Demigod

I think Sins is a great RTS. I just got eyebrow raised at the whole idea it was somehow trying to spin a new genre: 4XRTS - which I actually consider a game like Europa Universalis to be a better contender for that. Although I guess it was a tool to peak curiosity since that was exactly what got me runnin'. As for this Demigod beta. Totally dudes! How can we even consider the fun side when the focus of feedback should be on network issues, minion des

Good idea on minions able to capture flags. Also, provide general with exp even if he is not in range. I'm not so keen on having to summon minions twice to reach the full 4. Just let us need to do it once. My view on controlling minions is similar to controlling squads in Company of Heroes or Dawn of War. I also think it would be very spiffy if we can have our General join with one minion squad to strengthen himself and them.

It is unfair for Generals to have to pay gold to get their minions. The big income moments are killing Demigods, which isn't and shouldn't be on a General's agenda. Make minions available from the beginning. Their strength should be dependant on the General. Perhaps a certain %. So as the General is improved upon, so are the minions that serve under him/her. I also think Generals need more that offer buffs and significant boosts to the creeps.

Will this be like the Sins CE in that any early pre-order will be automatically considered as a CE? I pre-ordered the digital version months ago, so will I have to pay more to upgrade to CE or be content that I'm already on the CE train?

I think a General unit should have the ability to drop 'beacons'. These beacons can lure the major creeps to go/focus in that direction.

Interesting. Got me interesting and quelled fears that the SP won't be a string or just a list of skirmish maps. I still keep faith in you Frogboy!

I think beta 2 will be where it will get interesting. Because sp is the one that's been highly sprung about so defo need to give major feedback on that, hehe.

This whole collection of 'maps' for multiplayer tournamenting is just salivating my anticipation and wonderance on what the hell the single player is! Nice to see Indian pantheons not overlooked!

Exciting. I'm saddened it could have gone Steampunk. Don't feel we have enough of those out there! Especially in this sort of gamestyle. Last game I can really think that was steamypunk is Arcanum! Nice name. I quite like Rook!

Exactly what I want, chirmaya. One thing I've always felt was missing in TW was the option to play a single general/character and diving in with my fellow soldiers. This game seems to wonderfully bridge the rts/action together. I really want some strong 4x elements in the singleplayer but I think expecting that is a long shot.

So far from what I've read in the features thing the single player will just be a series of maps as if you were in some tournament. Sins felt more mp than sp. Infact, SP just felt like a mp game with AI players sort of making that mode redundant. If the idea about going back to it is just lots of tournament style maps then I'll probably pass. However, if it is under the greater scope of some freeform, unscripted, strategic campaign(like top level GC2) then I am in heaven.
