Too bad the Mac & *nix is only fantasy ... as I now spend more time using fedora than windows (thanks to M$'s "polished"memory hording version of XP known as Vista). At least Stardock will continue to make windows tolerable for me. This joke should be more like an avenue for Stardock to explore ... expanding their user base. Getting a head start when the reality of Mac OS and *nix creeping in slowly collecting more of the OS market share could never hurt. :)

I know I do. Seems the sdcentral.exe calls loader.exe which I also set to "run as administrator" and still get a UAC prompt. Frankly I've been spending less and less time using Windows since Vista. It's a shame that a great many of the promised new features never made it in and it has been whittled down to a more polished version of XP with the certainly not ready for prime time User Account Control.

Nice new forum ... only thing I've noticed so far is that when posts span multiple pages the "Prev" & "Next" buttons seem to be reversed in functionality ... Prev taking you forward in the posts and Next taking you back ... a minor issue but one i think needs addressed.

With yesterday's later release of 4.90b.003 The issues I was having with logonuiX.exe Application Error and crash has been resolved. The right click and double click user overrides now function just fine for me with all skins as well w00t!! I recently purchased a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 9300, with a 17" wide screen display. Of course one of the first things I did was install Windowblinds on it. Unfortunately every single skin, installed by default or downloaded, is having issues with displaying the XP start menu graphics. To follow up on my previous comment, it seems that the images that are not loading (I've check this in both IE and Firefox now) are images that reside on a server other than you domain's server. For instance images in the GUI seciton only the Winnie The Pooh for WindowBlinds image (img src is skins3.wincustomize.com/GAMP85/wb/WinnieThePoohPre.jpg) loads. For the rest of the skins the images with src locations such as fs5.deviantart.com/i/2004/333/7/6/G

I purchased Object Desktop yesterday afternoon. When upgrading to WindowBlinds 4.5 (by simply installing over the older version) I received a promt asking if i wanted to keep or delete any existing skins. Just pay attention to the messages as you install and you should have no problems.
