I am actually receiving flickering on all maps. The "fog of war" flickers constantly.... I am using a 6990.
NM, this has been solved. Apparently I was logged into the impulse client. The game is now updating.
What is the latest version of Demigod? When I try to play online it says a patch is required and then launches impulse, but impulse never patches the game. Game version shows as v1.30.
I was connecting before the patch and cannot connect now either. Receiving the exact same error as the original poster.

It amazes me that people are content with using an onboard sound card. You wouldn't dream of running a game like Demigod with an onboard video card and expect good performance, would you? Pet peeve of mine, please don't take personal offense. ;) For those with x-fi cards, make sure you are running in "game mode". This guy wrote an app that allows you to quickly switch between modes. You can even setup profiles to switch modes automatically based the exe launched. <a t
