Losing Their Way The neocons ogled Iraq like a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. They fantasized about having their way with her. Contrary to criticism, they had detailed plans for post war Iraq. Their plans -- the democracy domino effect, ravaging of the United Nations, the rape and pillage of Baghdad -- just sucked. Now, American troops are losing ground, Prime Mini

OK, that's a little harsh; a bit of fun on my part. It's some pretty ugly rhetoric -- even in jest -- but likely no worse than what we'll be hearing soon enough on CNN. Last week saw a renewed effort to impugn George W. Bush's service in the Air National Guard -- and thereby, his integrity as a whole. This scandal

Oh, I accept the degree of the threat in question. But it's a widespread perception that Bush's policies have failed to effectively combat the problem. Whether accurate, or not -- and I happen to believe that it is -- that is the perception. I'm not arguing that this is why the GOP is focused on terrorism; they are quite correct to be focused on terrorism. But they're focusing on the horror of terrorist attacks rather than on how what they've

Cardboard coffins aren't exactly my style, but the reason protesters oppose the war is to prevent such deaths. I hardly think that one can then turn around and call their methods of drawing attention to these deaths 'exploitation'. Not to mention, there's big difference between street protesters and national political conventions. Had Democrats hauled cardboard coffins out on stage at the DNC, I'd have criticized that as well.

MoveOn.org has not lied about anything. There is -- therefore -- no comparison between them and the swift boat attack group. As goes wihout saying, "right direction" does not necessarily mean "everything's great", it means -- just as it says -- "right direction". And course, this is a political poll -- people know that they are being asked about the the action is of their government. If people thought Bush's policies were working -- even if th
