Sure they did they tested it we tested it everyone tested it and it's even in the known issues list #5 You lose your mouse pointer People with nVidia Geforce 6X series cards (for the most part) have reported this. We have yet to get it in our internal lab and it doesn't seem to be that wide spread but it's a real show stopper. The solution is to use the hardware mouse cursor which is in the video options area of the game. <

that fails to explain the 0/9 moves - sounds like a bug
now imagine you pick the +50 research bonus and the technologists for a total of +70 and research the research acadmies right off the bat... then go for star federation... Oh yes it works
Give us your computer specs - most likely you need an upgrade somewhere - dont just "upgrade your memory" until we know what your running
so if i have orbital ddef manager, i could defend with many ships? Yeah an orbital fleet manager would do it - also if your going to be defending a planet without ever bothering to launching ships and interecepting the incoming fleets you might also want to build the planetery defense building as wel
What I would do is make it as a BC per turn thing - sort of like trade freighters... there entry cost would be rather high and then they'd take credits from your credit pool on a per turn bases -- you'd do it like when you finace a buy ship you'd get 4 options one with an extremely high entry fee but a very low per turn cost (something that would be LESS then your maitnece fess for a smiliar ship) and then you can figure out how the other end of the sp
No it doesnt -- Lies Deception Deceit! AHH!
Once you step it up above normal you'll find a couple of the AI races will actually go for an influence victory at which point if you're not building influence starbases yourself you'll wind up having your own planets revolt! This starts to show up one dificulty setting above normal (which is what I play on) although i've only seen it happen once or twice but the ai will sometimes decide to do it... Also whenever i've built influence starbases and ended up at with with another race th

Simply load up dread lords on parade (or any game where all nine civs are are enabled) then back out (dont launch it) to the main menu from there start up a singleplayer normal game and setup your custom civ - and play all 10 main races will be enabled and you'll be in with your customised race.
You can read what I thought of it over here Link Personally I liked it and there is ALOT of played to be had in the skirmish mode I really didnt like the campagin at all Be sure to check out the instant actions in space and ground they play completely diffrently from the rest of the game and remind me of an older RTS like C&C 2 (not generals)
Belive it or not I just got back from "somewhere" to go see a game being demo'd and got five hours of play in on it. Anyway the entire things under a confidentialty agreement so I cant say anymore then this but this game kicked ass and had great graphics... that is all Now I have to wonder if I violated the agreement by saying that much.
oOo X-com:Ufo Defense ... that was upsetting I lost my manual and couldnt play the game because the security wanted word X on page Y from line Z... heh
Yeah serriously I've always really hated the week or two before a game comes out because thats when I bother to get excited... Oddly enough even with the beta on my hard drive im still excited over gc2 coming out...
It's a very loyal remake by the people who made star-control 2.
I belive it gets a new paint job but the design stays the same... ive not loaded up the beta in over a month now so im not sure
I too am still crashing by no later then turn 70 with corruputed saves and hav absolutely no idea what to do with them.
Espionage is something I started using late into GC 2 (around beta .80) and what I noticed is alot of the "really bad" random events (The ones that set you off at war with some other empire) tend to go away and alot of good ones show up also since espionage doesnt decay (if it does ive never seen it do it) you just have to make the inital investment and then youre good to go.
the complete destruction of one side. YAY! a little genocide in every battle!
I figured i'd wait for one more patch before posting additonal bugs I've sent in all the "unique" ones that ive found im pretty sure im stuck with duplicate bugs at this point
Well hopefully they'll still realease some fixes form the gamma version currently the game's still a little wacky (or am i looking for wonky) Either way
ive no idea how ive missed that upgrade button None at all. Thanks
Just checking but is there a way to upgrade CURRENT designs? now that I can play quite a few turns (yay!) without a crash or anything horrible happening Ive yet to find a way to upgrade a ship. Secondly: Could we -please- get the ability to modify core ships?
So just set it up so you can negotiate both a seperate peace and an alliance peace. Basicly like in hearts of iron 2 -- also for seperate peace there should be a permanet flag so the alliance war doesnt drag them in again. But I agree I do see it as being a little broken.
Im pretty sure this is a bug but I wasnt sure... so I load up a game and oh about 40 turns into it I get my first message about the Terran Alliance being big mean and evil and killing everyone... Well I checked the political influence and they were safely on the other side of the map so I wasnt really worried (At all). I had just started to pump out my first set of large ships when im greeted by the terran alliance (around turn 80 or so) an
