Sorry for it taking such a long time for me to hit this reply (I only found it when I googled my username "Glavius" and found this) Anyway some of the mods you can use are avilable at http://www.moo3.at/ Youve got two choices you can go the "Unoffical patch" route which does a good job of making moo3 very playable or you can update to the latest version (the newest quicksilver patch) and then install youre own mods. I've been using the unoffical patch now for some months an

im glad to hear everything will be put out in XML... One of the only saving graces of MOO3 was the fan community had the option to open up the spreadsheets and "Fix" what quicksilver left broken. (Hey moo 3 is now a 7/10 game when running the right fan mods) however one thing can we get a feature in the diplomacy area to allow us to set "Starting" relationships between empires? -- the ability to make the humans and torians getting along well but for
Mark my words when the final game comes out ill build a fleet of 200+ ships and have them fight a battle... thats right 200 unarmed barely moving ships.
...I can program my ti-82... yep.. that was the entire comment
Well all the rotation and such is done on the middle mouse button and well its horribly annoying. Can you put an option in for "Use right click for rotation" or some such? it would certinly be more in line with other current games (homeworld) as far as rotaion goes.
Im not sur eif you noticed but theres a slider that allows you to DECREASE the size of those mduels or increase them (its right below the ship picture) just an fyi
+ When making a custom race, removing a Selected Tech's Prerequisite will also remove that Technology. Damn I liked that bug I'll have you know!
Even worse is that lets see... 1. Battlefield 2 - Securom, GameSpy Linking, EAs issue with 12-minute modified demo servers, Past Experience with BF/BFV and cd-in-drive. -- Avilable for illegal download day of release 2. Half Life 2 - Valve Steam -- Avilable for illegal download two days before release 5. Silent Hunter 3 - StarForce -- Avilable for illegal download 2 WEEKS before release in us 9. GTA3 San Andreas (PC) - Securom7 -- Avilable for il

okay so in GalCiv all the alien races origionaly got from at to b using a stargate network right? but then along come humans with hyperdrive and now you can get to places really fast that DONT have a stargate... Right? so wouldnt it make sense to have the ability to still build stargates as a way to link colonys together? Per say I sometimes (in gc 1) find myself with a bunch of coloines on two diffrent sides of the map (usually depending on who surrenders to me). as
I think GalCiv 2 needs Death Metal and lots of screamer bands like static x to give it a good "Feel". oh wait no it doesnt. Actually I really dont like aliens talking its always kind of driven me nuts, Maybe if it was on by default and we had the option to turn it off. It really drove me nuts in MOO 3 (okay moo3 drove me nuts but thats not the point). I kind of liked the text only setup for the simple reason of it allowed me to decide how they sounded. <
Exploit? No no, Its not an exploit its a FEATURE... you hear me!!
Well you wouldnt have to scale it... I've no idea if its possible but couldnt you just create three font size for each increase of 320x240? (1024x768 would use font size (whatever it is now looks good) then increase it by 2 to 4 points for each additional 320x240) perhaps thats what you meant in which case ignore me. Also the bit about the whole mouse speed slider bit sounded great. I tend to run my desktop at 1024x768 but play games at the higher resolution
Personally for whatever reason I really hate the new way you get informed that something has happened (it shows an icon on the right side about research being compelted or ships being built) is there any way to go back to a "turn summary" option? or perhaps to have them fade away after one turn. I often find my screen littearly flooded in these "helpfull but annoying reminders" that ive produced 80 ships in one turn. (its amazing what military production +70
This isnt a bug its more of a personal gripe. I've got a 21" monitor and when i crank the game up to anything above 1024x768 it feels like the mouse is "too small" and "too slow" could we get a slider to control how quickly the mouse moves? also the windows with information (like the start up window that explains the story of galciv "Freedom to inivate..." just seems awfull small and looks even more silly at 1600x1280 where its just tiny... well thats my th
Okay heres how you make it crash. also this issue may show up if you "Get" technology way far out there in the tech tree. 1. create youre custom race 2. when selecting technologys dump EVERYTHING into one path (i did engines in this case and got all the way to hyperdrive 2) then remove everything leafdingup to hyperdrive (impulse drive etc) you'll keep the really nice drive. 3. launch the game. watch it crash. by the way where exactly do we
https://www.galciv2.com/Downloads.aspx anyone notice that the game is apprently called "alactic Civilizations II: Drealords" Drealords... heh
ome and THEN it releases... so in that case 8pm... or maybe theyve hired a fanboy to release it at 11:59pm ... in which case we have to plan a raid on the stardock offices... class time...

erm did you get a serial key with that to put into stardock central? I think i pre-ordered months ago and dont actually recall getting a serial key.. if you did please tell me so that I can re-order galciv2
For those of you who have pre-ordered did you receive a galciv 2 serial key? I cant rember if I have pre-ordered (I think I did when they first announced pre-orders) but I cant honestly rember. However today when I did a cd-key lookup I only got a Galciv/altarian prophecy .. as the only two games I have listed... so anyone know if this means that I -havent- pre-ordered galciv 2?
