The battle viewer is coming. It's a big task.
That's because Orbital Repair leads right to Medium hulls. I'd take that deal.
Hmm. Sounds like witchcraft to me.
This was a really good read.
Maybe people do play the same way I got over 2000 hours in Civ 5 with a very defined tech tree and what I research changes every game yes their is a usual flow but other than researching pottery first that is the only thing that stays exactly the same. Not knowing the tech tree is maddening you just guess and hope you get lucky. I will say it is A LOT better than it was. If there was a way to see a defined tech tree as an option it wo

I was able to play for about 24 hrs. and since Sunday game won't launch whether I use regular file in Epic launcher or file labeled "test edition". I have posted others inquires and received no feedback since last update!! jmk
nothing has changed since last week. I’m not sure what would cause that.
Yea, we have a crash bug we're trying to squash. Should be tomorrow.
I like the idea of executive orders being able to "recruit" pirates as mercenaries. There's been a lot of pacing and just general clean up this week.
Did you fix the AI colony ship spam bug?
Yep.
Yea, we have this fixed and will have an update out tomorrow.
Also, the AI work only started last week. You will find the AI in today's update vastly, vastly better. And that's just one week's worth of development.
This is all very helpful feedback and I don't disagree with much or really any of it. That said, I was responding to the statement that we wouldn't put in "big" changes from this point forward and trying to get an idea of what these big changes would be. The examples being given here are balance changes. For instance, in today's update, the AI trading got a balance update because they were so difficult to put together good deals for. The number of tec

I agree in principle that the terrain could have a greater impact than it currently does. Maybe something that would help is to make sectors more amorphous in shape, not just elliptical. Another would be to have more ways to interact with barbarians and minor races so that they give the map

Things that require minimal dev work. In which case, I don't hold much hope for release. Its alright on its own, but when comparing to the whole market of strategy games, it does nothing new and lacks all quality of life features that have
Since we already have an Executive order to "Draft Colonists", have you given any thought to now adding one for "Constructor Focus"? Gives us another option for control points.
You're a bad influence, SciFi. My mom says I can't play with you anymore. I'm going to add this.
There's a crash bug we have fixed internally where something is removing a ship from the list while the AI is looking at it.
Any comments? ;)
Some good feedback. A couple things: You are only pulling from your core world. Colonies have a population of 1 and only 1. The core world is the only sponsor of a shipyard. I like the idea of leveraging special resources on colonies. We'll have to give that some thought.
