Yes. It's the game's fault. I mean, why would a demigod be able to beat YOU!?
Alright, now we're getting somewhere. Xp x64 it might be... If only Morth left some info...
No time to do that.
You are all missing the point. Snipe is a somewhat OP'd skill not because it has uber damage or whatever. It is because Regulus is an awesome character by himself, one of the best anti-grunt and anti-tower heroes in the game, he just happens to have an awesome anti-Demigod skill with the Mark, and has one of the highest attainable DPS levels... So that means that he can place himself somewhere on the map, sit there and be effective, and when the time comes use snipe to effectively be
I have no idea what the purpose of the minibar above your character's head is... There's a HUGE bar at the bottom, why would I strain my eyes on the tiny one?
The main menu and some other screens(not the game itself, though) some times will suffer from artifacts and other minor graphics glitches. This is the only game I have that experiences this sort of behaviour, and I'm reasonably sure it's not my GPU. Secondly, the game will freeze up in various loading screens randomly. I'd play one battle great, start loading the next one and there it would freeze. Program becomes unresponsive, has to be closed with the task manager. Thirdly,
Plague is IMO weak, and with Ooze, it's utterly useless.
You lose less health to Ooze at max level than you do to five melee creeps. Now, considering Ooze drops the DPS of nearby foes by A LOT, i'd say it's a bargain!
DV is awesome, but you must control yourself, unless you really enjoy having an empty mana bar. However, once you get the 10% mana per shot weapon, you can flick it on and forget to ever turn it off. If you have the money, that is.
I go maximize Spit and Beast Within, buy a single point in Poison Claws, and pour the rest into ooze and the general upgrade thing. Ooze is AWESOME when used good.. later on it is probably the best creep and tower killer skill in the game. Spit is there for making sure people don't run away, usually gets upgraded to max with the lowest priority.
This is sick, I once had a level 15 Reg with some 580 damage per shot, 0.65 refire rate... killed towers like they weren't there, murdered demigods like they're made from paper...
I'm addicted to the Heart, as it is very awesome.
I'm sure most enemy melee DGs also think your CoF is useless, and they happily wade right in... oh wait...
Wait, why would it not work in XP 64?
In class now, so I don't have time to read everything , but I did read the OP and I must say I agree. Interactive skills, as opposed to fire-and-forget skills, is the way to go. Especially because this then enables us to make a Demigod focused entirely on punishing the actions of his enemies and dictating the rules of engagement. Plus, I sense several fellow Guild Wars players in the thread, and we always have great ideas :)
Hmm... someone mentioned a Herculean demigod, and I think that would be awesomesauce. No spikes, horns, unnatural bodily growths... Just a huge, strong, hulking human with absolutely perfect musculature, using nothing but his fists to pound his enemies to dust, while wearing nothing but a toga and some arm braces. Monkey King would be OK, I guess, but I really want to see something very human first. The most humanoid Demigods right now are Regulus and Vampire Lord(possibly Sedna and Q
I'll jump in on this boat as soon as I get meself a new PC. This old rig is.. old.
