Maybe everyone who is on the Impulse mailing list should receive some sort of a special email titled, "Attention Sins of a Solar Empire Players" with mention that a major desync/minidump bug has been squashed.
Better yet, they should do like Conan and title it "People of Earth."

As Ryat said, it's the button with the dot inside a circle on the far left in the Fleet menu. Tight keeps the ships close to the fleet. Default is Loose which means they can go far away from the fleet.

Just sharing my experience. I was able to get Sins to work on my Macbook using Parallels 5 and Windows 7. I had to use Win 7 instead of XP because I can't upgrade to Service Pack 2. To use Impulse, you have to use IE 7 or higher. You have to have Service Pack 2 to get IE8 on XP. I tried using Fusion 3, but it crashes every time I start Sins. You should disable the magic corners in Parallels because you tend to move your mouse to the corners of the screen and Parallels thinks y

You pretty much have to get MS Virtual PC and a copy of Win95. Yes, Win95. It doesn't run in Win 98 or beyond. I loaded all that back in 2004 and had a blast. I still love the game. UFO: Extra-terrestrials is close, but you have to get the mods. It had avery strong community at first.

I'm here at Balad Airbase in Iraq. We have a bazaar from Sat thru Tues every week where they allow locals to come in and sell stuff. Most of it is movies and software. Most movies cost $3. Boxes of movies or TV shows cost $20. (I got all seven seasons of the Sopranos for $20.) Computer software and games cost $5. I saw Sins there Saturday. This may be a good thing since anyone who purchases will have to buy the FULL game once they're hooked.

Unfortunately, Stardock apparently doesn't have a deal with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), so we're not likely to see any on the shelves of our PX/BXs. When I was in Kuwait, the only computer game the AAFES had was Cat in the Hat. Maybe Stardock could send some copies over and really g

I've learned over the years that it really doesn't pay to be a smart ass because then you have to answer the question. This if from the website: Component Tray is an enhancement to Object Desktop to provide you with an increased level of integration of the various components. Component Tray currently includes: Single-click access to installed components A listing of the last six IconPackager packages and WindowBlinds skins used (with the ability to switch to one of them witho

Hi. Will there be a demo for those of us who don't normally like 4X games but are really interested? I'm so tempted to pay for Gal Civ, but I don't want to buy it then quit playing it in a week because it's not something I like. I've been checking out this site since seeing news posted on the strategy games newsgroup. Keep up the great work.

I don't have Drengin. I was waiting to make sure if I got Drengin, I'd get GalCiv. As I read it, Drengin is good for one year. If GalCiv slips, I'd miss out on it. I bought Stellar Frontier a few years ago and now it's free. The worst part is I paid for it, played it and didn't like it.
