Wow, great information - thanks! I'm still at work but will dive into this a bit more later. I'll add you to my Skype as well. Much appreciated!
Mauxe
So as a new player I am highly enjoying the game. I have watched the last-hit video..and another that I found. Very useful information that is still not so easy to put into practice.. especially with another player fighting alongside and two enemies doing the same on the other side of the pack. Do you have any recommendations for some basics on the different lanes?* Or perhaps I am reading too much into that aspect. The games i am playing right now are ju
Might and Magic?
I don't open Impulse to play. I keep the Impulse Dock running and launch the game from there. I experience no difference with my system when I have that dock open.
My little story held true as all of my strong vs. AI/noob skills were torn asunder by pacov in a quick little reality match last night. In some slight defense, as I was not exactly thinking of beating him as much as getting some skilled-player playtime in, I am finding that Rook is a much more difficult DG to beat than I had previously thought. Another skilled player (I forget who at this moment) recently spanked me with him and made the comment that a good Rook is very hard to
I've not played Dominions yet but I just ordered another, somewhat similar card game called Thunderstone. I play a couple board/card games online (Caylus, Carcassonne, Stone Age) but it's definitely not the same as sitting around a table and playing.
So.. is the quickest way to correct your % by buying a second copy, registering Impulse anew on a second machine and beating yourself? If so I suppose I might try that duirng the next sale. I wouldn't be trying to jump into Pro games but my poor % limits a lot of middle ground. I understand as a good game is a little bit of a time commitment and you want it to be enjoyable. I think I just play every game I can get into (noobs/mids). If I have a room o
Super! The hard work is much appreciated. I'm going to dive into some games now and give some feedback soon :)
Just wanted to say that I appreciate guides+discussion like this, especially when it includes Uberfix andCrazyTown comparisons as I enjoy both of those mods. This one has definitey given me a solid perspective on a DG that I have often ignored for my own play. Thanks again.
Ok, I'm up to speed on Sins finally. I'm on pretty much any night either trying to get a DG game going or playing Sins. I see that pacov is knee deep in F3 and DS3 (that one doesn't do it for me) but if you take a break I'm game to get a Sins game going either Friday/Saturday/Sunday night. My playtime is usually not until ~10:30 or 11:00 EST. lmk
Well, I still get kicked from games. Trying to painstakingly get my game count up to where people don't twitch to the kick button. I didn't realize so many people were waiting to play modded games. We'll get there
I don't play at a Pro level but I keep going back to Hellfire. The minions are squishy but they provide some additional DPS and it's like having an always-on mana battery. I can just keep going and going. Reg has unlimited mines/snipe, Oak has Pen/Shield/AOE always at his call. Non-stop pounce and heals from Sedna....etc. I wish more people used this mod. Most of the games I get into through the game are vanilla.
All day is a long time. If anyone is itching for some moderate-skilled games, I'll be on at night. Also, I have seen quite a few newer players recently. Very nice.
I can name a date/time - but I'm going to play a little sp again first. I never fully explored the x-pacs. Best times for me are going to be night (10PM+ EST) and almost any night. But I'll come back with more specific info shortly. I'll start hanging out on Vent more as well. My DG game count is low (I played from launch but after the big reset a long while back I fell behind and got a bit discouraged) and can still learn a bit - but I&#
I'm not on nearly as much as many people, but I think 75% might be a tad high for current adoption. Generally when I check the 1-3 games waiting for players very few people have any mods running. Having said that I will definitely try to pull more people into the mods. I love the changes and I really would like to play more FavorMod games. Uberfix and Crazytown should be standard IMO. The UI changes as well. Love them all.
I'll play some Sins if you end up getting another game going.
Add Mauxe as well. I am always looking for friendly games to play!
Very interesting Wip, thanks :) [e digicons]k1[/e] It would be nice to have some additional info though. I'm trying to spread the Mod word around to the newb circuits that will let me play. Oddly, I find that many people do not use any of the sweet mods that have been created. So far I have gotten a lukewarm reception to getting people to use the mods. I think that when I say "Hey, check out Pacov's package!" they immediately lose interes
I'll break down my fav/least fav for you soon. Hellfire minions are a bit (very) squishy but they seem to give decent dps and are a traveling mana battery. I find myself rarely worrying about mana regen and end up skipping some items I might otherwise need. I end up with much less downtime. Depending on the DG I may still need to back off - but (especially with a general) I am usually right back in.. or by the time I hit a new flag my mana is way up.</
I'd like to say that FavorMod rocks. I have been playing a bit - single player and multi with a friend and I'm not sure I want to play without it. We have found some nice items in the mix, along with others that we can't seem to love - but each of us agrees that Hellfire rocks! Looking fwd: to the next update :)
I'd be up for a SoaSE game. Let me know when you play. I'll hit you up for P2 soon as well.
pacov you are a stud! I had the game off of my drive for the past couple of months after I started fresh with a new HD.. but this post has inspired me to reinstall and get it fired back up. My main gripe is still the same though... sitting in a lobby twiddling my thumbs. I forget.. can I window the game and play some Desktop Dungeons while I wait? Here's to hope... on both counts
I'll be jumping on again to see if I can get in soem newb games. Haven't played in awhile and I was never quite up to the clan level... but the game is still a blast. The big problem is that you need to have some time to devote to getting a game going. I know this is just what it is but when I wanto to get on and play a game I don't always have the patience to sit through the lobby and wait. I want to give it a go again though. Hopefully Tobear an
I'll play the free web based game for now. Should they change the name and start charging I'll move on. Heck - if they keep the name and start charging I'll move on. The game is fun but it's not all that great and I have Warlords on my pc now that I go back to every once in awhile for the fix.
