Decent read, but my criticism of your article is that it should have included more about issues the community had to deal with as well, rather than just the evolution of the game itself. Ragequitting, stat-recording, match-making, Pantheon, etc. Those have been and are still big issues with Demigod today.

If it's the second scenario (or if there is a random element to healingtarget) then damage to priests could mean less healing for Sedna.
Heh I saw the same thing today a lvl 5 LB walked into our base and took a portal flag. I chased him down and was unable to damage him at all with Oak. No QoT on their team.
There is a problem with Oak's auto-attack misfiring and doing no damage. It's an issue with Oak, not hackers/cheats. That could possibly explain this particular issue. As for the OP and towers not doing damage, well, I dun

Well, this wasn't only auto-attacking while moving. I was literally standing next to my enemy and Ice TB refused to auto-attack. I couldn't attack towers or grunts, either. This is actually a very rare bug that I have not been able to replicate, unfortunately. At least it is rare enough so it doesn't impact most TB play. I'm just wondering if I'm the only person that's had this happen.

A bit silly, you're assuming that you have a higher warscore than her. I'd play either Erebus batswarm build, or TB Permafrost/Fire Aura (with either Rain of Fire or Fire Nova), get flag locks and scrolls, and play guerilla flag capping with her. Favor item Swift Anklet. Get Gold1 from citadel. She'll never catch you, your warscore will always be higher, get to cats/giants first, gg, especially if you are TB. If Sedna rides the waves, you'll have all the flags. If she plays flag

The other night I played a 3v3 Cataract match as TB. I typically play a hybrid build, but a little into the game I realized that my TB was not auto-attacking in Ice Mode. It would simply chase the enemy Demigod, but once it got into range, it would do nothing, just stand there. No amount of clicking or using skills or form dancing did any good. Changing targets did nothing as well. Ice TB refused to AA anything. Ended up having to stick to Fire for the rest of the game -- at least it still di
I never really considered it an exploit.
I'm sure the designers did not intend for this to happen. Hence it's a pretty obvious exploit, imo.

Oddly enough, I experienced a bug yesterday where Ice TB refused to auto-attack at all, no matter what I did. I posted a bug report on it in the Demigod Problems forum, but it was just such a weird bug. After the match, I went and tried TB in a single-player skirmish and TB worked just normally. I don't know what it was all about.

Hmm, I actually did not know this, and assumed only one spit per Beast can be active on a DG. Now I'll start using spit as soon as cooldown is over. Thanks!

Hmm, I didn't know you can do this. Definitely an exploit that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. I hardly play Exile anymore, anyways.

2. Several of the maps have obvious flaws. How can we make the maps more balanced with the least effort? Leviathan really needs more towers, overall. More defense around the Citadel, as well as a couple more up near the front lines. Pathing is still pretty bad (I get stuck around corners), and is especially bad on Crucible, where if I was to stand at the Artifact Shop and order my DG to move to base, it will not work. 3. What would an

Reply to Flag locks in Demigod
The real problem with flag locks is that the cool down time on the flag lock scroll and teleport scroll is less than the length of the flag lock. You can literally teleport back in and lock the flag before the other team can turn the flag - even if the enemy team is standing of the flag when the lock drops.
This is actually a good point. Perhaps the cooldowns need some reworking so that one person can't chain-lock a

Sound is quite useful to judge the battlefield, knowing who is attacking, etc. It's quite annoying to play with no sound.

Swift Anklet and Staff of Renewal are the best, imo. Ice has some long cooldowns (compared to Fire), and the Staff really helps. Swift Anklet lets you chase some DGs down early when you don't have a high Permafrost yet. I personally don't like Blade of the Serpent, as I usually end up needing helms anyways just to increase my mana pool, but some people swear by it, so it's up to you.

I used to host games as "Good players" or "No noobs." I've since given up, as it's pretty worthless. I just do "4v4 US West" now. Haven't noticed much of a difference, imo. Most noobs are actually nicer than the "pros". I'd rather play with nice people than jerks. Also, as stated several times already, people have a difficult time with self-evaluation.

I think along with auto-attack, switching from ice to fire needs some improvement as well. It doesn't make sense why it's so easy to switch from fire to ice, but it takes almost 3 times as long to switch the other way. There must a reason to this rhyme, because QoT can switch on the run no problems. If they are worried about the potential high AA damage from a Fire TB, then they can just decrease the base AA damage while in fire mode.
