Will be gone over the weekend (birthdayparty) and wont be able to play until sunday. Sorry for that.

I am quite sure most players are aware of that Maulkin. Skill and not having a bad game is much more important than the right DG. DG selection can very well decide an even game though. Since the game isnt that super complicated there are maybe a handful really good players that are on their level and then there are quite a few (I guess 50 or so) good players that arent too different in skill. If those good players play each other then the DG selection plays a big role.
Its not a bad day Plague. I heard stuff about him before. Had played a few games with him which were ok, noticed he isnt the nicest but thats not a big problem. Then its attitude and bad attitude doesnt come from a bad day. Doing Oak spirit rush is already low and his was in the worst possible way. Plus the stuff he said in ingame chat, dont think its just a bad day. @Golix I am not going to do the he said he said thing here. Neither you nor I have the ingame ch
Thanks for your replies. @Golix Yeah right, whatever. I have a replay that clearly shows you using the lamest kind of the Oak spirit rush and I know what happened in that game before in our chats. I will certainly not play a game with you anymore and from reading here I have the feeling I am not alone. You can tell any story you want, the facts are really on my side.
You can also play Dominion online against other folks, usually always games going so low waiting time.
Just had the probably worst game in my DG history. Golix (Oak) and me (Rook) against two other guys. Golix just orderes around, used bad language towards me, never helped, didnt do much and then on top tried to win the game by Oak spirit rush although we had no flags anymore. The most lame way of winning. I actually had to play against my team in order to make the other team get their deserved win.
I understand the part with the holiday weekend. Maybe we can later meet online and play a game with tourney rules even if it doesnt count.
Quoting SLEDGE71, reply 288 On hard and nightmare (no clue about easy and normal) the ai starts with 2 skills. That means at level 20 the ai has 21 skills. uh... what?
Ok, I take that back and claim the opposite. Maybe I got that mixed up with the build names but I could swear I once watched a replay where I saw that an ai player had one more skill than level. Sorry.
I was hoping more would show up by now to play some games. Its saturday afternoon in US and evening in Europe. Only Dark on vent, ingame is only IN1 (or I have again the wrong nicks), no one posted here.
Played one game with 56. Like yesterday me Sedna with DA against Sedna/TB all on nightmare. That was the most unaccaptable behaviour I saw of a DA. I am fighting for more than 2 minutes with both DGs in between the two towers in front of our portal. DA ist at health flag on other side creeping. He gets the tower to below 1k but then does nothing. Has full Mana (over 4k) and does not take down the tower or come over to help me. He hardly uses mana anyway. Much worse, aft
There is another advantage for the ai. On hard and nightmare (no clue about easy and normal) the ai starts with 2 skills. That means at level 20 the ai has 21 skills. To find out exactly you could start a game against and with ai players, play it to the end and then look at the replay afterwards. You can then look from the perspective of the ai player.
Did a game with version 54. Nightmare DA and me Sedna against TB and Sedna. Forced DA and TB and got both Sednas by random. The DA is still pretty much useless. I didnt see it swap. It doesnt use a lot of other skills though and doesnt really end a fight. The TB unfortunately played Fire so I cannot say anything about Deep Freeze. It was actually a no kill game. Which at least means the DA runs away and doesnt die.
Played newest version with an Oak pal and it was good. Fast win for us. About the DA. Now I certainly see your point with having a DA without swap is like an UB without spit. But then think of a DA with Warp and Spine, Demons Speed and JTreads. You get a DG making a lot of damage in a short time that is uncatchable and therefor unkillable. I would say thats still better than a mana wasting DG swapping position with the enemy right next to him.
Its the second time I read this thread today and I am still laughing about the title. Has Jona a better character than Zen_God? Think thats a similar question. Usually my first question would be: define "better"? In one way I understand what you mean but then I really dont. Depends on the situation, opposing DG, the player that plays the Occ,... Agree it can hold the lane against an UB. Until mana runs out. I would think mana runs out faster than UBs health. But
We will have to stop at one point. Will test the new release with an Oak partner on nightmare. If you look at a DG next then please take DA. He kinda has an interrupt. But too often I see him swap with someone right next to him.
Thanks for your words doggu. Its not the stats, dont care about that. Its the you play a game and you cannot win. If you play bad, you lose. If you play good, you lose. Its more the frustration. Why play if you lose anyways?
Had to revive this one. Yesterday have a game we clearly win. Host nahmanmuman decides to just leave instead of conceding, we get shown the win screen but dont get the win. Today we are winning again and both my teammates drop out at the same time, no mod on so have to concede and get a loss. Why does that always happen to me? This seriously sucks and takes a larger chunk of my anyway decreasing motivation for this game away.
That looks good. The Oak is horrible. Just played a game with him on my team (nightmare) and it doesnt help at all. No pen usage, no Surge of Faith, no portal capping, no defending, standing around at flag with battle right next to him, watching.
Would someone mind doing a quick few tests for me? I'd like to know how much gold the ai starts with on easy/normal/hard/nightmare using the default settings. Thanks if someone can spare 5 minutes on that and post back here.
Easy 500 Normal 1000 Hard 2000 Nightmare 4000
To me your list makes sense. The only thing I notice here is that most likely with alot of money the ai will end up with nimoth and groffling. Personally I dont have a single build where I would do that, usually I replace nimoth with groffling when I have that much money.
But Plague mentioned a good point. I also saw the nightmare ai buy Narmoth as first item. Now I also get it with UB but certainly not as first item, its more one of the last items. So maybe put the priority on it a bit further down.
Played one game last night with version 50. Me Sedna with UB against QoT and UB. Was a very good gaming experience. Think it was the first time in a lot of games that my ai pal got more kills than me. My UB was great, he grasped and spat. He also bought equipment so that when we hit Warrank8 he did not have enough to buy priests, angels and dinos which makes it much more realistic as now I have to save some money for that too and I actually then bought the dinos. The en
So you not playing tournament?
Thought about IN1 not getting my ingame chat message. Maybe everyone could tell in here which ingame name they will be using for tournament. Pacov should then add that in the op. And everyone should add all players to their friends list. That should make things a bit easier. Even if we are all around at that specific tournament time, only the friends list tells me who is really on.
Fully agree with Plague that the DA just sucks. The TB though got better now and is acceptable. I had a game 2v2 on nightmare all on random. I got QoT with Occ against Sedna and Occ. My Occ played very stupid. He didnt use Chain Lightning or any other skill. I fight Sedna and he sits a bit behind me with full hp and mana doing nothing. When he joins the fight he shoots at her but thats it. Saw a few butt jumps but never a chain lightning and he had 6k mana. The opponent
