That way we don't lose an ability outright for a simple toggle switch, but just replace it with something much more interesting.
That's the impression I got from the full list of torchbearer changes.
Look at it this way, the 8600 GT barely beats the 7600GT, so your 8500gt, performs even worse than a 7600GT.
Umm, that's not a bad enough card to do terribly on lowest settings.
Aw that means we wont have 4 fire skills. Rain of fire can go, though.
And circle of fire will make a good replacement for it, and be better in most ways.
You know there are items to make it so it doesn't kill in one hit?..
That too. Even with a few levels in stats, you don't get killed immediately.
What I mean is that each unintended behaviour should be evaluated before being removed just because it isn't in the design docs.
Truth. Some of the most fun things are unintended.
I hope they're satisfying [e digicons][/e]
A game can still involve many intelligent, tactical aspects and yet have great depth in terms of skills that you have to practice. The problem with trying to make a game entirely based around 'tactics,' 'maneuvers,' and 'strategies' is that anybody who just plays the game long enough can learn to do certain strategies at certain times. But being able to micro and pull off impressive tricks and in-the-moment techniques involves real skill that you have to practice but that also requir
I have no doubt that the Demigod staff will take numerous steps to address this issue once we enter the gameplay beta.
yeah, I bet that one of our various solutions will work well, and the game will become even more excellent, I'm just not sure which.
If anyone had walls it should be TB in the form of ice walls or ice prison.
That would be neat. I still prefer AoE freeze for him. I just don't like the idea of him having a long-lasting power. He should be forced to go in quickly, do a ton of damage and then leave before the tanks overwhelm him, and that isn't a playstyle suited to long-lasting powers.
You have a PCI-e slot? Nice, that's a really good card even if I would lean towards the 8800 GT (I loves mine soooo much).
* Why doesn't the mouse scroll the screen!? Thats a staple of most RTS games... even if Demigod isn't your usual RTS... It makes it annoying when my left hand is over the QWER/F1-4 hotkeys when I need to scroll the screen...
Devs are already on this one.
* Ability to rearrange items within inventory It would be quite useful if you can arrange items beyond just buying them in order... IE. you buy 6 health potion
Yep, I think that they just display it without checking whether the entity is visible. I'd love to try a lan game and see if that works at unlimited distances into the fog of war.
[e digicons][/e] that would also explain why they run around like their heads are cut off. [e digicons]:P[/e] Awww man, we have the whole barnyard animals emoticon set except for a chicken. We should see if bebi wants to add one.
I dunno, all the good bugs are becoming claimed rapidly. http://demigod.kryofx.com/ has all the known bugs and links to threads that go into greater detail
Welcome [e digicons][/e]
I don't know, I think we'll need a dev to try and solve this problem, because nobody else really knows the code well enough. Have you noticed any problems with other games with that setup?
Do you happen to have any characters with accents in your directory (IE non ascii letters)? If you do (such as in your user name), make a new user name for now with no accents of any kind in the name. It seems to be a problem with foreign characters.
I think bug that's universal. it's been gone over before, but now we have screenshots, which is very good. I bet that gets fixed soon.
We've had a long discussion about this elsewhere and the synopsis was that most of us agreed that you should be able to look at your ability tree while dead, but not able to shop. Otherwise, it's just too bad for immersion when you die. What do you think of that?
That would be a good thing to implement rather than naming them all AI, so we don't get messages like "With the help of AI, AI, AI killed AI" OMGWTF does that mean?
I think that the added flexibility of having an item possibly modifying three attributes (and it'll say it will in the store tooltip) will outweigh the few extra seconds it takes to read the descriptions in the store. Providing the opportunity for flexibility later in the game will allow less formulaic builds because you can follow the game better. It will allow much more unorthodoxy in design because you can adapt as the game progresses far more easily so you can take a dangerous choice with
If it is a wall we are tallking about why not give him the ability to raise a wall from the ground in the direction you want and make an intresting gameplay options. I think that could be nice.
That would be an interesting counterpart to the tower summon, especially if he were slower. However, the tower summon will stop creeps just as well as they all rush to auto attack it, and it synergizes nicely with other abilities.
And with the 1st I think a lot of the issue isn't just QUANTITY of the skills, but the quality of them. You could tripple the number of skills to add variaty, but i don't think that'd be as good as making more skills work together like how the rook can make towers, suck his own towers for life, make towers to link up more with other towers on the map, and make them so his own tower of light on his shoulder upgrade does more damage. More things need to work together like that. Those
It's an odd looking error for that cause. Are you sure that's the cause? I dont' know how being alt-tabbed would change the number of techniques. It's an odd looking assert, even. I wonder what exactly those variables mean.
Haha nice eye..
Thanks [e digicons][/e] .
