Full screen.. but i have a helluva time getting the game to load to begin with (i.e. I'm one of the poor buggers that has to spam the run icon heaps.. so that probably ruins the lock)

Anyone know of a way to prevent the mouse heading onto the next screen, if you have 2 monitors? Most games lock the mouse, but for some reason Demigod doesn't. Drives me nuts as I am used to edge movement with the mouse.

Same issue here; Win XP SP3 Nvidia 8800 320mb E6400 core 2 duo 2gb RAM 6.14.0011.8208 Nvidia drivers. Can only get the game working by spamming the run button. Pretty annoying stuff guys.... shouldn't have to trawl support forums just to START the game.
Quoting gaping_maw, reply 6It does seem odd. The impulse login should be just to buy/update games. Once in games, game logins should be different.. that's pretty standard practise. No it isn't. Games for Windows Live, SteamWorks, these are just two examples of the opposite of what you say is "standard practice".
Sorry mate, you are wrong. When I log into Steam, and THEN go and play one of th

Agree with littleoz, sticky the update info into the general forum, might help stop the 50 'oeh noehs can't connect' threads :)

As someone said earlier, why are pirate versions able to flood the server at all? Shouldn't access be login based? Or are you saying that all of them trying to hit the server denies it to everyone else??

It's fair enough at the time of launch.. whether that really reflects the longer term true value in the game is the age old problem of 'how-to-review games' that game journalists and companies are still struggling with. But given that you know that release window reviewing is how the system works currently, getting the networking right at launch becomes critical in a mp focused game... if you want good scores. No point complaining. Perhaps you could formally request gam

In a mp focussed game, getting the networking right is essential. It impacts on player experience. Gamespot are right IMO, to call stardock out on it. HOWEVER, they should revisit the game and revise the score if the mp problems are addressed, but I doubt that will happen (i.e. gamespot won't come back to it outside of the release window.. not enough clicks)

yep, australian here :) Would you believe that one of our telcos sells broadband with a 100mb limit, but then charges about 250 bucks a gig if you go over it! :) I'm not on one of those though (20gb limit, which is ok if you don't watch much HD content). I don't have much sympathy for people crying about a 250gb limit in the US :D

I've got steam and impulse and really they don't cause problems with each other. Impulse is very UNobtrusive, so don't avoid demigod just on that basis. You only use impulse for updates and installation.

Is your cpu above the miminum req? I have a quad core
Looks like there are other options before wondering about your cpu.. b

Reply to Voice Comms? in Demigod

Thanks for the clarification.

Well, I'm not sure I'm going to 'get' the game, but I think I'll support you guys (Stardock GPG) anyway and purchase it. From everything I've read and the vids I've watched, I think it might supply some good quick MP fun.... and even if it doesn't work out for me, I can always rationalise my purchase as a single fingered salute to GS, support for Impulse and Stardock/GPG. Cheers chaps!

A quick 'voice' search didn't show anything for me .. just stuff about voice acting! :D Is there voice comms built into the game.. or will I need to use ventrillo/teamspeak etc to chat to allies in team games? Thanks in advance

My cynical view: Gamestop know their power.. they are betting on companies not wanting to miss out on the massive distribution opportunities that gamestop can provide. Thus they release early, earn more sales than some of their competitors and are likely 90% sure that relative minnows like Stardock can't do anything about it. I can't wait till digital distribution eats further into the games market, and Gamespot are instead the ones bending over the barrel (so to speak). However, who

Handy to know the download size. We have horribly small download limits in this country, and I have to watch every game purchase to make sure it doesn't blow my quota out of the water :(
