I had the same thing happen today. Was annoyed until it showed the scoreboard I was the winner. It just queued up the wrong announcement at the end of the game.

I like this idea as long as we keep favor item power in check. Hate to have a new person buy the game several months after release and be unable to play because we are running around decked out in uber powerful favor items.

But there should be an appropiate range of difficulties like they have in GalCiv2 so you can find the AI level that works best against your skill level.

Welcome to the beta. I have the same problems. I can sometimes connect, but even then it is hard to finish a game without someone crashing. Also a lot of us are just playing against AI opponents or not playing at all waiting for the next patch which will include Tournaments. Hopefully we'll see an improvement to multiplayer connectivity and a lot of people jumping online for tournys.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but if you deleted your profile then your achievements and favor would be reset to zero.

On any ladder, in any game I've played, I tend to be in the middle to bottom section these days. Getting married and having a 1 year old daughter has completely destroyed my "mad skillz" (which weren't all that impressive to begin with) But oh well, someday my daughter will be able to game and I'll destroy here over and over until she surpasses me.

Yeah if you actually installed it in the root directory and not in its own folder then I'd imagine it would delete everything on the drive. It would see X:\ as the game folder and delete it. If you want the game installed somewhere other than the default location then make sure you specify a folder name. It's like putting creamer in coffee and then deciding you want the creamer taken out. Can't do it without throwing out the whole cup of coffee.

Rankings will mean nothing if we can't seperate out AI only games. At release I could just take the week off of work and play non-stop to get ranked in the top 5, but I wouldn't really have anything to brag about.

I joined an online 2v2 game and everyone ended up leaving due to lag/crash. So it was me with an AI teammate vs 2 other AI opponents. I went ahead and finished the game. At the hour point I was fighting a losing battle, they were at my citadel, my AI teammate and I were unable to really compete well against these guys as they were always way ahead of us in levels and upgrades from the time they were player controlled.
