Dota was a mod itself basically, so i think they will appreciate the value of constant updates and modding to their game aswell.
Developers have stated the this game is recieving a great deal of influence from DOTA time and time again. It plays like DoTA aswell.

I love playing spore and the DRM didn't affect me at all. Dunno why it causes some people so many problems.
Vision range is too short, but then again the map we have is too small.

I don't understand your post. The items are already organized with bonuses the way you want them to be.
Heres why this game couldn't be scaled down(i think most of you didn't understand this because you're not familier with euphoria). The physics are simulated on the fly, and all of the animations are created off of that simulation. You cannot scale down the game without altering the actual gameplay because the animations would not be simulated correctly. I was playing with regulus and got a +evade item. When i tried to get healed by the healing fountain at my base it would evade the healing ticks.
It'll probably work like WC3 did, with single player campaign carrying you're hero over into the next levels. It's a great system! Multiplayer wouldn't have this level carrying over into maps(that's just silly). That would be more of a diablo like game, and that's not the direction gpg is taking this in.
Dota had the teleport function and it worked great. (scrolls + some hero abilities) Its interuptable, and it isn't instant. Very balancable

That kick function you're talking about wasn't in DoTA, its a third party program that blocks you're IP from connecting to the hosts, thereby removing you from the game. Blizzard already made that program not work with custom maps in warcraft 3 also. So there really is no problem here :) I think you may have joined a "pro only" game perhaps? But even if you didn't, you can't possibly hold it against the developers if other players don't want to play with people who suck and ru
I think innociv has a point in saying this, but i don't get what he thinks the devs will do about it? It seems like a problem that doesn't exist and doesn't need to be fixed. New players will suck and that's always true.

Comp Stomps are pretty isolated to dawn of war online multiplayer from my experience, and i don't think it is necessary to keep someone's record private.
I don't have overly high expectations, and I never would expect to have 80 Demigods. I was just pointing out that having 80 unique demigods isn't impossible and is very concievable, even if not for the initial release.
