After more research I found the issue. Incompatibility with their sound programming and my Motherboard / Soundcard mix. Known issue that affects lots of people. The issue is being worked on in this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348232 My CPU is actually fine for this game. With /nosound, I can run on high settings at high resolution and even with alot of action it's fine.

Thanks for the update Devs! I came here to add to the success of using the /nosound switch Real quick info: My motherboard: ASUS Nvidia A8N SLI Deluxe My sound card: Creative X-Fi Gamer Results: Consistent with this thread. Prior to using /nosound, gameplay had horrible lag. Fine with /nosound on.
