I use a KTEC-6500 (costs around 15 to 20 euro only but is hard to get). I love small, very light mice with no fluff. Only backdraw of this mouse is the not so good mousewheel but I got used to it. Generally if you play a lot of RTS you should get a small and light mouse - how small depends on your hand size of course. My brother uses the Logitech G1 which is a really nice mouse too. Just as a sidenote, most korean starcraft progamers use the logitech optical mini nowadays. Most import

Reply to Best Map? in Demigod

I like zikkurat (despite being a 5vs5 map its really good in 3vs3 already) and Cataract most.

gold isn't the only resource if you are behind in kills you still can get ahead in warscore. Also killing demigods and killing creeps is not the only ways to get gold, there is also the gold mine flags, towers and citadel upgrades - okay currency I is a given but currency II is something which costs a lot yet gives you an advantage if you can defend long enough. If you are behnd in all 3 Resources : Gold (that is "Gold earned minus Gold spent on sold items and used consu

if you are just looking for guys to play with I suggest joining #demigod-live on irc.stardock.com. Either with a proper IRC client or with Impulse chat feature or even the ingame overlay ( /channel #demigod-live is the command to get there) We will kick everyone who can't behave though ;)

muusbolla, bugs are normal in game and this is not a totally game breaking bug even. Do you want me to list a few of the bugs still existing in Starcraft after 11 years of patches (and that is excluding dozens of things which are considered features nowadays but are technically bugs): - Units getting stuck and not doing anything before you pressed hold position many times, this happens almost every game especially with Dragoons but every ground unit can be affected. - Sunken C

creeps are actually quite strong even minos and archers of course they don't have much hp but keeping them alive by preventing your enemy from attacking them is what gives you map control. You are right about the boots, and partly when it comes to helmets, and other item classes though. And Heart of Life is the most overrated yet not really overpowered item of all. It is true that a lot of items aren't perfectly balanced yet but a lot more than those you mentioned are useful, some may

the only issue there is that giants are way too strong since the improved the attack and defense upgrades from beta to release version - good thing for all other creeps but it made giants too strong for their price. You are wrong about needing no equipment though anyways, if you just upgrade your citadel and have very poor equipment my team will happily capture your portals and then all the money spent is useless.

1 of the same kind per team is pretty much the standard in all the customs I play, so a lot of high level players adopted it as a "house rule" already, but getting it as official game option would be indeed very nice. Its something GPG has to add, not stardock though ;)
Keep in mind the actual code is alot more complicated than the above which is why the bug is not easily seen when looking at the real code
Are there proxies located in europe yet? I ask because I had a ping of 360 to someone who was proxied when my ally who is about 300 km away from me had only a ping of 90 to him via direct connect.

BobWi, while flag locks have some potential to break the game in the lategame (and might need some changes because of that in the upcoming months) your idea of permanent flag locking is not really feasible, because all team members spent their money on flag lock(s) there is no way they will control all the flags early on. And even if they get them right at the beginning they have to move back home often which means lost xp and gold from creeps. Gold mines also give only 2 gold p

Koreaslayer there is also a 3vs3 ladder where you can play whenever you and the guys you challenged agree too. http://www.esl.eu/eu/demigod/3on3/ladder/ And yah the ESL does lots of silly stuff but right now they are the only one around

it does the damage where you aimed - it used to be different in beta but this is how it works now.

In 2vs2 you imo either need 2 Generals or 1 General + Torchbearer to win vs equally good teams who have 2 Generals. In 3vs3 I think every Demigod has its place in some combos, although there are a few combos I wouldn't do like a QoT, Rook and Regulus Team because that team just lacks speed too much.

yah simple automatch with arranged teams is what we really need, I never heard of scheduled games before, maybe its common im mmorpgs (never played) but it sounds tedious compared to AT automatch. Instead of picking all those parameters and choosing strangers I just want to play with guys I know vs other guys who know each other. For playing with randoms there is skirmish aka random team automatch.

Dalzk, why would your allies do that :P and if they leave right now chances are high the AI replacement just feeds and turns the tide

if you don't like the matchups you get in pantheon games you should stick to custom games... leaving at start ruins the game for everyone else.
