I don't know about overall balance but I can tell you that Bite itself was an overpowered attack, damage, life drain, slow, and armor debuff all in one attack made it by far the most powerful ability in the game, coupled with the fact that it was extremely mana efficient...I think it's obvious why this change was made.

Since they're allowing you into the lobby before you're finished connecting, I highly suggest that it displays 'connecting' or some sort of business until you are connected to someone. In addition, considering how bogged down it can get if multiple people are connecting to multiple other people, I suggest a Queue where people join one at a time...just based off what I'm seeing this minute....that is, one person connects to everyone else in lobby, then the next person does the same.</p

To say they are 100% useless might be stretching it a little but yeah, I would say that the opportunity cost of angels is FAR too high. Getting them is mostly just a pre-cursor to getting catapults and giants.

I think the main issue is simply that erebus's bite ability has far too many effects. Slow, Damage, Life Drain, and lower armor? In addition to having a reasonable and low mana cost? Torch's fireball is fine, he is a glass cannon at best unless you stack armor. In terms of Regulus and Torch it sounds as though you just have gripes with getting hit by the abilities that your move speed can't counter....lets not buff move speed thank

Agreed, I have had many matches at this point where using capture locks and teleport scrolls toward mid game, despite thier initial lead was what garnered us a win. Having Giants first can also be highly advantageous as you point out. While Swift Anklet is ok, I find that more often than not if I were to be ganked....15% move speed wouldn't have helped anyway *just keeping in mind where the enemies are versus me and how tough they are at that point*.....teleports are aweso

As far as I can tell it's like the Heaven's Wrath Favor Item shooting off automatically now and then, although it might deal slightly more damage. Occassionally it can be useful, generally speaking though...leave it to your area damage DGs.

Currently the method highly encourages team play, where as the method you speak of would greatly hinder anyone playing as support and create the extremely irritating complaints of 'team killing' more often than usual. I understand the concern however...imagine you're playing healing sedna or bubbling queen of thorns, you don't deal nearly as much damage but negative defense heals/bubbles. The problem is, they are items you are supposed to gradually obtain, a sort of carrot on a stick method.....and it's fun to work toward them. I admit, I have well over the amount to purchase all of the items as I have been playing since the game came out..and it is highly frustrating when I randomly have no points, however I believe that since there is a player option to turn them on and off right now that there shouldn't be an enforced developer rule be it infinite favor for all

I'm rather fond of this idea, but I believe it would be best implemented in maps that also were interactive (example: a flag you have to control so that you can have that portal of units walk across a bridge to join your others) Thanks for the post, certainly an interesting idea. Currently there are many 'pantheon' players whom join thier 'random' team by simply connecting at the same time and having quality connections to one another...leaving and rejoining pantheon until they see thier teamate.
