I agree with most of these. I did the open beta, and have playing on and off since. The main reason for me was low content. Only 8 Demigods (going to 10 ONLY last Nov) and about 10 (I fgt how many) maps makes this game lose its luster for a while. I also was following the minion debate closely. I think that they do have it, at this point, where the generals play significantly differently than the assassins, but I would love a better system. Still, I'm at about as much of a loss for

I use Oak with full spirits, soul power, and minion boost skills. Combine that with all level 4s and you have a nice army (as long as you put down the flags in not stupid spots). Spirits can be sent on suicide missions and still do nice damage if you can keep them coming, also remember to plant flags if its only your side against some structures, you can still get spirits from dead good guys.
I love how they say that the connection is meh, but never mention that with Stardock DAY ONE IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. Tons of updates are coming this game's way, and the connections are through a somewhat different type of server than the norm. So there's going to be issues!

Lower spirit's attack, but raise other skills in Oak's arsenal. So far the only real way to go is a spirit build.

I found that if you purchased the coin purse that to buy an upgrade for the citadel you had to wait until you could afford it's full price, then you could buy the upgrade. I don't know if this applies to items too, but I'll check it out.
