for some reason additional forum access on the elemental forums (access to the "forum issues" category for example) have vanished. I don't know if there was another upgrade or something, but its a shame to lose such access.

@melric - yeah, they probebly will. the zero pings is caused by your connecting having problems reaching theirs, even though you both can connect to a middle man. It may not help with yellow, but it should reduce them.

20K sales in the 1st week isn't bad though is it? I mean I know more people that have purchased demigod than I do any other recent PC game release (that isn't saying that much, since there haven't been many other big titles, but still)
Out of interest how did they make their money? I had no idea they were making profit from it, that's sickening.
because there are a bunch of ads on the site. So both pirates and legit users that go there are giving them money by letting ads display on their screen.

So sorry, this is a double post: But in my defense the 'beta feedback' thread is now gone so maybe the original thread is gone? Anyway, I feel that somehow these points were missed and need to apparently be re:addressed. They aren't game breaking, but they are pretty important to making the game feel complete in my opinion. #1: picking colors! Every person I've watched fire up demigod has said the same thing. "Why can'

I agree with the original post. I know many people who download to try. Demigod especially is one (no lan for retail copy until updated) where the not-online version basically IS a demo. I know other people still who do things like buy a $50 game and split the price... then they just share the game because they feel that $25 is a reasonable price for the purchase, but neither would be able or willing to spare $50 for it (this is especially true for console games I've seen).
since more and more ISP's are filtering for, assigning lower traffic priority and in some cases outright dropping P2P-like connections (we all know the reasons why) would it be fair to say some connectivity issues may turn out to be the fault of one's ISP? In which case there may not be a whole lot anyone can do about the issue.
oh a sad truth. My ISP has been talking about it, and I'v been supporting

And thanks for creating such a great game that everybody wants to download with such haste!
got a 300 kb connection if im downloading normal on internet 1 mb:S:(
is it 1 MB per second or 1Mb per second? Most likely the later (I've never seen an internect company show bandwidth on a byte scale rather than a bit scale) If its the 1Mb per second, then 300 kB per second is about what to exect, a

well, it seems without the 1st patch there is no LAN multiplayer option, so I'm sure that will encourage a good number to actually purchase a copy. I mean honestly, this game is all about the muiltiplayer.

So I was thumbing through the demigod manual (yes, I actually read those. I'm sad it is in both black and white + full of white blank space. Though, I guess since its in black and white, anything other than white space might make it hard to read... that isn't the point. Were we beta testers given a chance to look over the insides of the manual prior to printing? If so, I'm sad I missed it because I would have a few things to say about this one. But I

the UI certainly looks much more complete in the chat area. I can't wait for release.

epochs sound awesome. I know some developers (namely valvue) pay very close attention to their game stats. I've heard and seen notes from lectures based on them. I think simply having a ladder system or something that helps stop elite super pros from playing total noobs would work. Since its tied to a stardock account (which I believe has to be tied to their demigod CD key) I wouldn't imagine people would make very many accounts so they can just trash noobs. &nbsp

I find that really any time somebody gets close to Reg he dies. so if you find any way to get close to him with another assassin, or someone with stun, he's dead.

It would be nice if there became an open slot that other players could now fill, but I'm not sure how many sync issues might come from that. Demigod also doesn't seem like the kind of game where that would benifit, since in 2 minutes it takes for a player to rejoin the lack of a player can make a significant toll. Its not like Sins of a Solar Empire where the game likely has many hours left.

stupid legal issues with retailers *shakes fist* I know there is trouble when 1 store is allowed to release before others. but it seems strange that the publishers would have any trouble with it. I mean there used to be specials where a particular retail would be allowed to sell a title before others all the time (though the most recent one was blockbuster renting out starfox armada before anybody could sell it) I blame the consumer bill-o-rights. Which I ge

yeah, ever since going to 2 monitors I don't think I could be very 'productive' with only one any more. I'm not surprised at all to see every desk with 2+ screens. Looks like a pretty awesome place.

azerty keyboards! booo real men (or women) use Dvorak keyboards :P (that would include me) I have not had any problem with the short-cuts, but that being said, I have not really used them. I didn't know people actually used Azerty outside of the european portable electronics.
