I get this too. Haven't really touched DG since launch because of all the problems, so I thought I'd give 1.1 a go. Click multiplayer. Click internet. 1,5 minutes freeze-up before next screen. Click Login. 1,5 minutes freeze-up before next screen. Click Pantheon. 1,5 minutes freeze-up before next screen. :( Screw this. Q

Looks like a perfectly normal fully pimped-out citadel to me. :) Why did I have to enter my birth date (1/1/1903 btw) to watch this, anyway?
one of my friends just ordered and i didnt know the beta wasnt being release to new people anymore. he is quite upset....
Poor guy, missing out on all the connection problems and balance issues like that. :)
Running around, "marking" his territory on the flags, occasionaly running after that big white cat... Pretty much how I play Regulus. [e digicons]:dog:[/e]
The current beta is very far from what they plan to release, especially with regards to balance and networking/matchmaking , so don't pay attention to any reviews on those matters. That aside, my short review of the current Demigod beta is that it is shiny , addictive , and it warms my cynical old gamer soul.
I can answer one of your questions at least: If you just pre-ordered, you're too late to be in the beta. An a more general advice, I'd recommend having a vanilla XP partition for games, and a whatever-else partition for everything else. (Personally, I have a standard XP partition for gaming only, and a Ubuntu partition for everything else. Doing serious work in Windows is pain, and getting games to work in Ubuntu is more pain.)
1. Stances: I don't see the need for that added complexity; you already get the same gameplay effect by spending your money on armor (defensive) vs gloves (attack) vs mixed (neutral). 2. Layer: Basically two experience counters and another skill tree, but why? If both sides get it, it won't favour the losing side just like that. In most RTS', when you are behind you can play smart and work your
Wouldn't it be simpler to just let disconnecting hurt records, then?

In Pantheon games, Rook, Regulus, Sedna and Oak are the only ones that can be on the light team. The rest can be on the dark team. In custom games, you can mix and match as you like. In both game types, multiples of the same demigod are allowed.
Happened to me too, with 3E. Sent the requested files to CariElf.
Yes, please. I have a Dvorak keyboard and want to remap WASD to ,AOE.
I bet he's really happy with the logo placement on the Demigodthegame.com site, hmm? He has probably made a sad poem about it.
Looks good in my Chrome. Fixed already, mayhaps? Running Chrome 1.0.154.48 on WinXP. Edit: Now I'm getting "Server Error in '/' Application." They're probably working on the website right now - which causes glitches.
Quoting Zeneroth, reply 23 Quoting ibkuzz, reply 22can I join beta if i dont preorder game ? No you can't. I think they won't do public beta till the really last build just like how they did for SIN. where i can download it ?
Via Impulse. Have you pre-ordered?
Just to clarify, did you literally specify X:\ as the installation folder? Edit: A fix for this case might be to reject installation in folders that contain non-Demigod stuff.
As the countdown clock gives the time down to actual minutes, I assume you meant it to be accurate to at least hours. :) Since it apparently uses local computer time indiscriminately, it shows about 7 hours differently depending on if I configure my clock to my own timezone (Norway) or a timezone in the US. UTC looks doable from Flash Player 9, though: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AS3LCR/Flash_10.0/Date.html
Sorry for the unspecific "Bug:" tag, but none of the categories match. Well, "[MISC]" does, but that's not any better.
This is on the new 2v2 map. When the game escalates to giants, my side's giants all get stuck in the second-to-outermost light/archer tower gates. For each giant that gets stuck, the game slows down. The framerate is still beautiful, but the actual game runs in slower and slower motion. First, I thought I had hit a "decrease game speed" key by accident, but I managed to reproduce this by starting a new game and waiting for the giants.
1 is actual law here in Norway. BigCorp does not suddenly gain partial ownership over my harddrive when I copy their bits onto it by installing the game.
According to the most secure source in the Universe, namely some random guy on the intarnets, never is "whenever you want it to be" I want it to be tomorrow. (Source: "Nobody"'s answer on http://ph.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080620130628AAhIAvT )
Yep, http://forums.demigodthegame.com/324115 by Frogboy says "Beta 1-A in a week or two". It'll be two weeks the day after tomorrow.
I'm with you on how "generic yellow ring: improves stat X by 5%" isn't inspiring. Those kinds of things make me feel like I'm playing a glitzy spreadsheet instead of a game. [e digicons][/e]
