Quoting DsRaider, reply 292 Awesome. How did you make it? Thanks, modeled the mesh and created the texture myself.... took me bloody ages, i'm a complete hack when it comes to modelling but i've always wanted to learn a bit. I used t

I'm not a dev and don't quote me on this, but I think 2.0 was initially planned for after Sorcerer King release.
Uploaded 1.8 c with readme and clotheslib update.
And which benefit you want, the more of a certain village you have the stronger benefit you get. You can also later on research more "assimilation spots" to integrate more minor factions.
I can't seem to find a game named Alien Space with that theme, do you happen to have a link?
Exactly the kind of system I personally don't want, for the reasons I posted above. I hated playing through FTL with crappy ships just hoping to unlock the cool ones. It would suck even more in a 4X.
What's the reason for changing -1 to 0? Trying to determine if I should release 1.8c of children of storm because of this.
It still requires multiple playthroughs just to unlock the "stronger" or "cooler" ability. It's the same as what Frogboy suggests. I don't want to open a 4X game and say "ooh, all I have to do is play this game for 20 more hours and then it will get really fun/cool". It's an arbitrary limit with no other reason than to improve "replayability", which is actually "tedium" spelled wrong in this case.
That sounds absolutely awful.
1. Yes! 2. It's not compatible with the Leader Pack DLC because the DLC primarily contains XML. I need to modify XML for every unit in the game for it to work with this mod. In essence, I would need to have the contents of the DLC in this mod for it to work. Obviously I cannot just include paid DLC in my mod.
Uploading 1.8b which only removes a temp.xml file from the rivermod folder. If you got 1.8a all you got to do is remove temp.xml from /ChildrenOfStorm_Rivermod/ Thanks primal savage for keeping an eye out
Just wanted to mention it here. A favor could restore a destroyed shard, giving you a possible resource, reducing the SK's power hence reducing the Dooms day counter.
This is so much interesting than just reducing the counter a bit for "reason".
Dunno, seems fine to me.
Uploading 1.8a
Version M fixes 3 posts with bugs before this and updates for 1.8. Also added comment that it is not compatible with leader pack DLC in OP.
Traditionally Children of Storm contained a file to overwrite all goodiehuts. But for the life of me I can't remember a reason why. I'm going to remove it for 1.8a, but I don't really play the game so let me know if you run into any strange things surrounding the goodiehuts, in particular monster spawns and so. This wouldn't be a minor change like "maybe some goodiehut spawned a bit more", this would be "there's two of everything" or " I don't even get monsters in my g
http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30171614 mentions russia, saudi arabia and ireland were targets. Which seems like an odd combination.
NSA at it again?
Definitely a "Wish" spell, grants a random boon. That's it. Could be the strongest item in the game, could be the weakest boots in the game. Could be a summoned chicken, or the Wrath-Angel of the High Heavens, the Reaper of Fate.
Better turn off Skype, Steam, Spotify, any antivirus and Windows before running it though! [e digicons]:D[/e]
I'll be doing a rivermod for SK when we're closer to release. There are already bridges in, but I'll see if I can come up with a better riverend.
I don't understand the game at all. I lose my whole army in 90% of the battles. Is there a recruit button I'm missing somewhere? Music was good though.
What are the tasks? Do you need someone to come up with a quest, write it, implement XML, bugtest? Goodiehut tile design? Monster XML? Balance tests? Or just part of that? Is using the editor a must, or can we do the XML ourselves? I'm interested.
Random maps now ready for general availability
Sneaking the big one in at the end, eh?
Sounds hella confusing.
