Is its already the case. See http://frogboy.impulsedriven.net/article/378128/GDC_2010_-_ImpulseReactor_is_revolutionary The Impulse::reactor is a direct concurrent of Steamworks. Sadly, it isn't yet available (general availability in summer 2010).
That's my point. It is not out!!! Also there is limited/poor achievement (who really cares), friends, chat, and voip functiona
Trigeminal
Ugghhh. I hate steam because it always has to be open with the game. Why do companies use them? Wish SD would get their shit together with impulse and make it more competitive in the few features it lags in so devs could use it and we could have some real competition. I don't care who wins I just don't want the monopoly we are now seeing. First Civ V and now Kings and catles, ugghhhh.
Wow, this is amazing!!! Thanks Stardock and GPG.
Nice to see lots of info on the player page, can't wait to get this back ported to DG.
Thanks for the post brad.
I'm playing still and loving it!!! I'll play this until SD shuts down the servers or no one is ever online to play against.
You should definately use impulse. There have been many changes that you will need to dl anyways. Try "verify program" first, that way you shouldn't need to redownload it all. Alternatively you maybe able to uninstall through impulse and then reinstall from cd before updating. hope that helps.
I beat a erebus on crucible with Regeulus last night. But, yeah, with a non-shit player, Erebus is way OP.
also use impulse, right click and choose "verify install". report back.
update drivers pls. edit: if you haven't already. (graphics drivers)
what are the actual specs on your processor?

Wow, excited to give this one a try!!!
I had proposed this earlier with the art shop. Doesn't seem to be favored by many in the community.
Wow, absolutely amazing.
Same last night and today.

Thanks for this great new free, high quality content. Looking forward to paid DLC in the future, keep us updated on any developments on the possibility of paid DLC.
Thanks for clearing things up. Great post, very reflective, honest, and insightful. I for one would love more maps and Demigonds and would LOVE to pay for quality content like occulus and DA. More than anything a few more 2v2 or 3v3 maps are needed. I know many other would be willing to pay for this DLC, as well. Thanks again brad, and don't believe that the few, vocal malcontents speak for us all.
/signed. Thanks for this post. This last two days on the forum has been a joke. Thanks for being rational.
If anything, you can make the argument that us long time Stardock customers have grown accustomed to their high level of transperancy and behind-the-scenes looks. I think it is only natural for customers used to this behavior to get completely blindsided by something like this. It would be like you put your keys and wallet in the same spot for a year, and then your wife puts them inside a box in another room and you
Problem is most premades i see clearly aren't looking for real games just pug stomps. I entered two rooms lately, on one side was a team with 65% -ish each and a guy around 70%. The other team had two players one had 30% and the other 23%. Please. If you are a premade, join a game with proficent players, you might even get a challenge.
Lmao! It should say TRIPLE HAMMER! instead of Smite. Edit: On that note, does anyone else miss the 'OH MY DEMIGOD'?
I miss "Smite-a-licious"
Reg still seems weak with newest version (v1.2). I think the issue we are hitting on is health staking just crushes reg in 1v1 or AA dmg. That plus what others can do in dmg to reg, unfortunately still make him crippled. Shame really.
