I love this behind the scenes stuff. Really tears down that "Big Company that just wants your money" stereotype Wall. Do any of these exists for Elemental yet?

Point Blank, if I hadn't been kept so tightly in the loop by your posts, then I would have gotten a refund for the game and sworn off StarDock altogether. Now I'm excited to get more Stardock games like Elemental since I know you're a company of heart and humility and won't leave me dry and broken after I buy your games. I was one of the poor suckers that bought Dungeon Lords...
I couldn't connect to other people before if running through my router, this patch solved this. Just finished my first game online :) Dominated everyone of course :) Unclean Beast ftw
Can you give these guys over at Dlink a copy of the game so we can get some router issues fixed? [e digicons]O:)[/e] See this post on Dlink Support Forums: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=5141.15
Your first new Demigod HAS to be a Pirate, it just has to be. Think of the glorious irony! I'm sure you'd also make some press and create some internet buzz if you did something so ingenious .. nothing but good things can come of it. Do it. Do it. Do it.
I agree. I would definately play a Pirate themed Demigod. (Must be an Assassin). Could also m
I'm among the 10% that can't connect to anyone, but I'm in North America, not the UK. Anyway I just want to say that yes, not being able to play MP sucks, but its your constant feedback to us and keeping us all in the loop that's kept me from seeking a refund. I wish all game devs and publishers would do this. If MMO's kept us as in the loop as this, I'd probably still be playing them.
That's an update I wish I didn't read. Means there are no UI changes planned.
UI Changes? A bunch of us can't even play yet man.
on Dlinks site the firmware options are for beta 1.3 but the scary thing is that many people are having problems from it and you can't downgrade from that build.
I'm really annoyed that I could connect before beta 3B and haven't been able to get into a game since, and I'm in Canada (btw Frogboy you sound like you're from Canada). This is my first game from Stardock/GPG and I was mulling over getting a refund, but your approach, honesty and humbleness almost makes me want to buy another copy just to support you guys (I said almost, I still can't connect remember). I don't know if my Dlink DIR-655 router issues are with Dlink or with you guys, b
Will this solve issues for those of us with anal routers who won't let us connect to the NAT Facilitator? I tried posting at the Dlink forums for my particular router but I haven't received a response yet. Here's the post in case anyone wants to help find a solution http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=5141.0
That's a good sign then if you can connect. Lets find out what the differences are. I'm hard wired, are you wired or wireless? I'm connected with an onboard realtek card on my gigabyte mother, you? I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate, you? I did run impulst reactor as admin using ports 6002 to 6200 and I have my ports 6000-6200 forwarded on both TCP and UDP.
Do you use the lastest firware? if so, drop to 1.11, that ur best bet atm with that buggy router.
Yes I have Hardware V2 and Firmware 1.11 I'm well aware of the latest firmware issues. But all the same, this is the only game I have ever had issues with and I know it's nothing with my PC or ISP because if I bypass the router and plug in directly to the modem I can play fine. Again, though, most people have a route
Since Beta Build 3B I think it was, players with the Dlink DIR-655 N router have not been able to maintain connection to the NAT facilitator. Port Forwarding does not solve the issue. Running on the DMZ does not solve the issue. And setting UDP Endpoint Filtering to Endpoint Independent does not solve the issue. Bypass the router with a direct connection and there's no issues. Though obviously not an acceptable solution. What can be done about this?
With all the testing done could maybe Stardock list some preferred router hardware too help people with connectivity and what routers cause problems.
I know several people (myself included) are having a hard time with the D-Link DIR-655. It handles the UDP Nat connections very strangely and we can't see or be seen in the Nat list. Resulting in not being able to play any multiplayer games at this time.
I have a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless N Router
I have the same router. I tried working with CariElf over conflicting time schedules during beta to figure out why this router can't play multiplayer games. The issue was left unresolved unfortunately.
I have a D-link DIR-655 and worked with CariElf to fix the connection issues and it was never resolved. Others with the same router have said they're having the same issue.
The Joomacomment 13I hope the last build solves D-link specific router issues. Why? If it's D-link specific, it's D-link who need to solve it. Game companies should NOT bloat the games with workarounds (also known as "optimizations") for crappy hardware/drivers. If they hadn't done that for ATI and nvidia cards, we would likely have had stable, working graphics drivers for all cards by now...
Final Beta? Really?.... I still can't connect to any games. I hope the last build solves D-link specific router issues.
Cari, I'm afraid I work till 7 EST on weekdays. When I try to host and others try to join they claim I don't even get listed in the NAT list. If at all possible I'd like to avoid testing beta firmware. But I am willing to change any suggested changes and post my results.
Ever since 3B I have not been able to see others or even be listed with the NAT Traversal when I'm connected to my D-Link DIR-655 router. The router is Hardware V2 and Firmware 1.11 (the firmware version that supposedly works with demigod). If I bypass the router and connect directly to the modem I have no issues. I have ports 6000-6200 on both TCP and UDP portforwarded and even when putting myself on the DMZ it doesn't work. I hav
I couldnt get a game going with anyone. Lots of crashes. But I did have a lot of fun playing with the AI. My biggest problem right now, aside from the connection issues, is that playing against the AI (I tried both normal and hard), the cpu players were just not at all respectful of monitoring their life. Rarely did they retreat. They'd run in and fight me in front of my towers and creeps all by themselves until they died. And I think they also maxed out respawn time at their

This is a fresh oppinion post of what I think of the game thus far. Items: - Heroes should spawn closer to the starting item shop on some maps. - Items should be a bit more specialized for tactical builds. Something like Orb effects in Dota might be good to look at. ie: item that ignores armor - smart players would buy this to counter gods like the Rook. item that burns mana, good against gods like torch bearer. <stro
Ok so I was able to join a game by just scrolling to the bottom of the screen and waiting for one to appear. But then when buddy launched the game I waited 3 minutes (literally used a stop watch) at the loading screen before I had to close down the game.
