I don't like it either. Public games tend to attract alot of idiots. We'll get leavers at the first sight of with higher or lower points then them. Note: All players with a higher scores are nerds without RL and all players with lower scores are nubz which need l2p. Also it adds the possibilty of "Score"-Flames like the arsenal/arena-flames in WoW. Imo, public games shouldn't bother about scores. They should be played just for fun.
Even randomized stuff in Items isn't that great. It was already said in other words before me. Im 100% against it. Favor Items are the maximum to go. It brings a little bit more depth into the builds of DG's but are somewhat easy obtainable. You just have to spend some time. After 20-30 games you should be set and possess all items more or less. 2 Reasons why not: 1. You could throw balancing into the toilet. Compare a MMORPG to Dota or DG right now. It's nearly impossible to get all builds of 16 Demigods on the same level. Well, imo your calculation isn't 100% correct. Sure, if you spend 1.8k for the first upgrade you'll be even after 15min, but also each member of your team got profit of that upgrade. It means, these upgrades are more effective the bigger the team is. It would result in 9k Gold in a 5on5. Which is quite a nice amount of gold. But i agree, the higher upgrades aren't worth it. I can't agree with that. I think it should be possible to a team to disable a hero until his death. In my opinion you shouldn't be able to survive a gank against three people, if youre alone and about 4 DG's if you're only 2. You know, you argue about the competetive potential of a game which is in the first 1-2 weeks of beta testing... I already posted a way to nerf the Wand of Elusivness - now, we really can copy dota for this special case, since Dota had the same problem with an exact copy of this item. Nah i find the catas nice. They should be tough.. they come at Warlvl 6-7 so they're ok for me. They only got 400hp thats not that much. On the other hand, we all often forget, that a big part of demigod is missing. The creeps of the Generals, i think they're going to change alot. First, WoW brings to 99% of the players absolutley no depth. Yes arena is fun, and i like it to watch - since im not into WoW anymore. And the high end raiders also got my respect for inventing all the nice tactics to slay all the ugly beasts BUT these are only 1-5 per Realmpool which are that far. And only a few percent are around 2.4k in Arena. Its nice for them.. but the others can only farm stupid dailys .. farm some more for reputation and farm some more honor.. farmfarmfarmgrindgrindgri
I think this game will focus on +3on3, so lower brackets wont be played really hardcore - ln dota its the same. Bigger teams are just more fun + more fun to watch due to more tactic + strategy.
