To succeed, Demigod will need random Demigod Selection as an option for certain game modes - the current default "both sides pick their Demigods then click ready" simply isn't good enough. It will also need hidden Demigod selection, so that you can't tailor your team to the other sides team who would then tailor their teams to your team so you'd tailor your team to their team... This can also be optional. I'd also like some information as to how m

This is still a technical beta, once most everything has been found, there's no point to keep playing. I'd have liked to get a few more games in on the new map, but the slowdowns prevent this, so meh, I'll wait for next build. Now when they get in to balance testing with net connections, then you'll see a lot of gaming.
Those extra seconds will always matter. Just throwing it out there, none of you have actually given me an advantage to recipes over blacksmith upgrades. Sure, the inconveniences can be worked around, but why put them there if you don't have to? Why would you intentionally want the game to be more difficult to pick up when it doesn't have to be? Answer this question in your next reply. Seriously. Do i
The biggest difference between your economy and recipes is that a normal RTS allows you to be in more than one place at a time. Recipes require you to stand at your base while other people level up out in the field. In an RTS, you can manage your economy while your combat units are in the middle of a battle if you want to. You can be
the issue is that people have a hard time figuring out which items need to go together to make which stat boosts. Note that, while you are pondering your decisions at the shop, everyone else is out there levelling up. What does this mean? If you want to succeed at the game, you have to remember all the combinations so you can buy things quickly without taking time away from levelling. That is the issue. People

Here, as further proof of the simplicity of recipes, a screenshot which anyone can use to get a solid grasp of recipes in the 10 seconds it takes to read it. Now please, stop bringing up how terrible and complicated recipes are in every post remotely to do with items or DotA or now LoL. They're not complicated, anyone can spend 5 minutes in a solo game to figure out how it all works then play
Lol. Recipes are not complicated because the stat boosts make no sense or because nobody can figure out how to use them in battle. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. Rofl. And wtf do shooters have to do with this? If I lose at a shooter, its because the other guy is a better shot. Its not because they knew where to get the sniper before me, its because they are good enough to whip around and no-sc
how can you make a jump from an RPG/RTS hybrid to an FPS? Also, how can Bullet give him +1 rep for being a rude prick? you need to learn that rep is for people who help the community, NOT someone who obviously doesnt understand that a lot of people dont want recipes in this game, and would rather do what Innociv did. If you want Recipes in a game, or think we are to 'childish' cuz people dont get it, go to the LoL forums and be happy there, dont be
Topic has officially digressed to pettiness. We get it you love DotA, guess what some people don't. LOL means there are now two games that are in the genre. I love overly complicated games. The point about recipes for some people is they were needlessly complicated. I always felt it was poor implementation, and did not add to depth. You disagree, cool. No nee

Allright this bullshit has got to stop. Recipes are not complicated. They weren't complicated before, they are childishly simple now. Any recipe in DotA tells you exactly what items are needed to make it, usualy 1 or 2 items, and tells you exactly the effect it does. The vast majority of them give simple stats and passive increasing effects, very few of them are "more complicated" because they give a new ability, which means one extra button to cl
Quoting innociv, reply 4 Right click on buildings should use them just like right clicking on units to attack. I strongly disagree. What strategy game have you played in the last 15 years that operates that way? AoE, WC, SC, SupCom, BFME, all of these games employ a "right click is for move and attack orders" and "left click is for selection of units, buildings, enemies, etc" structu
While I think the idea of arena with land bridges, underpasses is nice, I don't think it can be implemented. There will be problems with control and visibility. It's been mentioned in one interview that terrain is not implemented because it'd cause AI problems. Frankly I don't believe that's a huge problem but it was nevertheless mentioned. As to floating platforms linked by, elevators, ramps or teleporters... Elevators wo

When I play on the waterfall map or the Lava map and pan the camera to look around and see those sunken pathways or the culverts and all that I can't help but feel that the playing fields could be made much more interesting. Now at least the new map is a step in the right direction, it has multiple pathways, possibility of sneaking around the back of your enemies and such, but the waterfal map i

Looking around this same 2v2 map, I found that when fully zoomed out there are these stretched / unfinished textures all around the border of the map. Needs looking into, either from reducing max zoom, ur putting these towers further away so you can't back the camera into them. I can also confirm that the pathing problem affects you regardless of the side you are on (light or dark, your creeps still get stuck)

For the sake of clarity, here is this tower with distorted texture, you can see it'S position in the screenshot. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq171/Syrack/distortedtextures.jpg Also targeting through the fog is still here and if anything is even more flagrant. http:

Right click for everything in the game, from killing enemies to interacting with shops to picking up potions and scrolls But you can only leftclick to buy items in shops. Doesn't work well, doesn't flow. Confusing for no real reason. Suggest left click be used for all "soft" targeting, including highlighting items to see more detail, soft targeting enemies, soft targeting shops to allow use of abilities withouth moving to or
Well the arguement about its "beta 1" now isnt very viable. They are releasing a new patch which is only aimed at BALANCING the game (thats what this patch is doing, no?). So I think us giving our opinions and asking for them to simply nerf it a bit (e.g increase price OR decrease time etc.) so it takes more skill to use it. It can still be a very usefull item, but it shouldnt be so overpowered its just unfair.
Nope thi

Yup besides for the FPS display being stuck at 30 FPS, this game has been running extremely smooth for a tech beta considering my rig is far from top of the line. Mobo is a Maximus Formula (integrated SoundMAX audio), RAM is OCZ DDR2 800, CPU is Q6600, GPU is 8800GTS 640mb, HDD is Seagate 32MB cache 500gb sata. All drivers are latest but not beta.
