I guess when they balance out stuns, UB will be better. Since UB's only stun ability also freezes the UB he is rather useless. On the up side with a few armor upgrades towers don't really hurt DGs much, so UB with his speed upgrades, speed items, and - movement speed ability could put the pressure on other DGs to somehow try to escape the clutches of super melee attack. However by the time the UB is useful, mr vampire lord is mostly invulnerable.

Sometimes when a Demigod uses an ability (seems to happen to ANY demigod and after an offencive ability) they get "stuck". Not as in can't move, because moving fixes the problem, but as in if they dont move they refuse to do any sort of attack or cast any ability. The only way to clear this is by moving the DG. This appears to be when both demigods are standing on the same spot, and both cast offence on eachother. This problem is intermittent.
Currently the Unclean Beast is the worst of the characters. There is no one defining ability that just sucks, they all just don't play well. This is combined with his short melee range making him pretty worthless vs creeps. He can kill creeps if micro managed only. No major initial damage abilities mean that he can't hit hard once. No superior speed (something that REALLY makes him stand out) meaning he can't slow enemies and karate-chop them to death. No high armor meaning

When kicked after clicking the confirmation dialoge the game hangs.
Already not an issue. Too many towers near the enemy castle. Also enemies can teleport in. Also castle heals. So at early game a castle rush will end with all DGs droping dead with no real damage.
Sorry completely forgot to mention that MMOs are the ONLY place where you PAY to WORK!
I hate ALL MMORPGs for the exact same reason. The only one I have not yet hated is Ultima Online (before they added the noobland and implemented lag). Why do I hate all mmos? 1) Its a game. 2) Even though point 1 exists, the game requires you to work for fun. That is I can't turn the game on, have fun for 30 minutes, and leave. Maybe I have something important to do? Maybe I actually want to pay attention to my child or wife... Who knows crazy things can
My ideas: (Generals should be Strategic units, not battle units) 1) Generals should NOT be so easy to kill, especially snipe. 2) Generals should be just as weak to focused DG fire from fireball, snipe, and boulder as assassins are. 3) Generals should be in the field, but not on the front lines. 4) Generals should never be able to solo an assassin even with uber items. However a general's items should be different in that it focueses on
When connecting to a game (trying to connect) if the game already starts, canceling the connect operation causes the client to crash. If control pannel does not pop out on 2nd monitor computer must be restarted. OS: XP x64
Asside from the confirmation, there needs to be a VERY usable way to switch resolutions EVEN if you fuck it up royally. I ran into this in Homeworld 2 where a bad resolution is 1) not undoable 2) if made, the only way to clear is to completely nuke ALL non-vanilla data from the installation directory since I have no idea where resolutions are stored. Solution. Make resolution switching app external to game just incase shit happens.
So what you are trying to say is you want "demigod behavior" customization, simple: Passive (attack only when command issued) Neutral (attack what is next to you, but don't go out of your way to attack unless command given) Aggressive (attack anything you see). Also persuit level (how far a demigod will travel without a command given): Standing: no persuit 50%: Half way to it's sight range 100%: all the way to the edg
I run on a intel core 2 quad, 2 gig ddr2 ram, Geforce 8800 GTO. Highest settings + 1650x1080 resolution = almost no slowdowns. Knowing stardock's policies, they like to sell to low-end machines as well as high-end, their reason for doing so is because it is one of their anti-drm stands. If you target ONLY high-end machines, the people who paid the 6 grand for em (yea I know someone who did and I think they are absolutely nuts) are NOT going to be able to afford your gam
My complaint is not the fact that all demigods are the same (I assume they will add more abilities later) it is that abilities with fixed damage are good if all demigods DONT buy any items. Once they buy +hp armor, or if you buy + damage items, these abilities become useless since regular attacks do almost as much damage. That and sometimes demigods lock up and dont attack, or cast even if ordered. But thats a bug not balance issue.
1) Get rid of all +% damage items. 2) Replace attack damage with damage that affects abilities as well 3) Profit
fail :)
I gave it much thought and I have both a complaint and suggestion regarding ability balancing for end game. How often have you been playing a character who has an amazing direct-damage ability, only to have it dwarfed end-game making your character completely useless while a general overpowered and unkillable? Well the problem is: If I have a direct damage spell do say 1000 damage. That is great at beginning game, but near end-game my character usually deals a good 3-5 hundred
The biggest gameplay flaw I've seen so far is the fact that battles are quite boring. Here are two things you usually do: 1) Fight creeps. If you are the TB then one ability will finish all creeps off quickly, if not than this is a chore of micro-managing your DG clicking on each enemy to attack or w/e (at least the rook has a ranged melee attack which can hit enemies "nearby" not like the oak, vampire, or undead thingy who must be told exactly which enemy to hit and often stand there
Last stand should be exactly how it is, except Oak raises up with 100% hp and dies in 10 seconds. Same concept but not invulnerable. Even better would be an ability while the oak is still alive. I like the idea of how certain demigods do stuff when they die, but that is just crap since we try to stay alive. We need live abilities.
When hosting games port detection is not so automatic... Unfortunately they do NOT speem to be tapping into upnp (universal plug and play with my router) which means that while WINDOWS has the appropriate ports opened (I assume the game does this), my router has something else to say about this. I opened a port in my router and use that port when hosting. So if you see my 1v1 or 2v2 games please join :)
Problem activating the game: Type in the email used to register. Paste the serial number. Click the ACTIVATE link. Yet when ENTER is pressed instead of clicking the link, everything seems to work honkey-dorey.
Generals suck ATM. The biggest reason is because the minions are not very... useable. Most RTS games (except The Original Warcraft 2 where you chain-walked making a giant army walk after eachother because of lack of groups) have GROUPS. At the very least a single group with all your minions. Currently general's minions are very... well one-tracked. There is no variation or strategic planning. Generals don't get to set up defences or offences effectively. They are just assassins with no ranged
Also it seems that general's minions are "freebies" as in not only do they not cost anything to spawn, they dont actually give ANY exp to the enemy demigods when killed!!! So these are tough enemies, which usually are accompanied by a hero who stuns the heck out of you, who don't even give you exp for the trouble of having to kill them!
1) When logging in, after typing in my username, I cannot hit TAB to go to typing the password without clicking. This is annoying and available in every piece of software I ever dealt with :P 2) Password does not mask what I type. 3) Vampire (whatever his name is) has trouble actually hitting enemies. Unlike the other general he has lots of trouble getting into melee range and thus stands idle a whole lot more than other demigods. 4) The Fire/Ice assassin cannot hit en
I noticed from DotA (what DemiGod's idea seems to be founded on) that user content and custom user stuff is a key success factor in the longevity of a game. In other words if we can create custom maps, and custom mechanics (add our own models, or do something to the game not originally forseen by the dev crew) the game can just become that much more interesting, fun, and long lived, since if I get tired of DemiGod the core game, I have DemiGod the user content game. Look at WC3. Not e
DotA biggest flaws: Last Hitter Gets The Gold -- Yea so you are stuck micro clicking ensuring you get that last hit. Its just not fun and annoying. Best player destroys all oposition -- The best player simply cannot be defeated since he knows when to die, how to get that last hit better, what combination items to make to get the ultimate powerups for his unit. Quitters -- If you quit, noone can take your place. Thats a b.net limitation. Fixed Teams -- if you go
