Interesting topic... I must look up what Ashkandor is. I thought I was allmighty with a Mageslayer playing as Regulus.

I nearly always play Regulus, and I nearly always get the upgrades award after the game ends. I don't think this higher level of DG understanding and teamwork strategi
I recently found out about this myself. I'd like to add my voice in help spreading this gospel. :)
This is the second subject on this exact tactic, which is seemingly game breaking. The first was posted here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352456

I have not seen this tactic, but once the "pros" discovered it, alot of people looking for cheap victories will use it, so a nerf in one form or another would be required. I would like to bump this as well and see a Stardock response (or GPG response, but do they post here?).

Thank you for the tips! But just to clarify, will a Mark cancel the shield as well?
Yes, I know it was me who dropped connection... but the reason I posted about it here is that the game itself should have figured this out and returned me to the menu.

Aha... so the shield's timer also makes it weaker with time? I've never played QoT so I don't know how it works. I do know that six mines does not defuse it...
I was just in a Pantheon game where I encountered a QoT who kept spamming shields... it seemed as if she could fire two or three in a row, which bought her a huge amount of time with invulnerability, free to just walk into our base and cap the portal flag, and just generally do whatever she wanted, as none of us could take her down (even though I had the mageslayer artifact at the end). My team mate said to spam mines on the shield, but we were two Regulus with triple mines and it did

Call me silly, but what is "monks"? I see nothing of the like in the item shop, and I still can't see anything in the item descriptions which would negate spit. Also, I tried to train UB takedown tactics against the AI, but it was completely useless because even at higher difficulty levels, the AI simply doesn't use spit.

I've heard different answers in the Demigod chat, so I'll ask here again: 1) People say that there is an item to counter the UB spit, but I can't find it. Someone hinted that it was a favor item? If that is the case, that's seriously unbalanced, but I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious, like a standard potion which removes debuffs? 2) I don't think mark of the betrayer work again the spit... is that the case, or am I just missing something? How about balancing the game properly instead, so people won't have to rage quit?
I made an earlier thread about this as well. It's really rather quite ridiculus, loosing several valuable seconds which can be crucial in a sticky situation.
It seems to me that people complaining about "rage quitters" are those who are playing these famously overpowered demigods, like Unclean Beast and Erebus. So, you are winning, why complain? If I choose Regulus or the Rook, and end up playing against a team with two Unclean Beasts, I know from the start that we're going to loose. If that game would have been a custom game, I wouldn't even have started it. But since it's a pantheon or skirmish game, I have no control so I need to suffer
So, picture if 3 team members on one side all have thousands of favor points and high pantheon rankings. Then 3 members join on the other side, all relatively new. Currently (unless I'm mistaken), there is no way in the game to find out when this happens (except, of course, when you get steamrolled and the match is over in 15 minutes). Could there be a way to find out this information before you start the game? Could the game itself warn about this, or suggest
