Now that I think about it, thats a wonderful Idea. Please implement this, I feel it would resolve some of the IMBA and not gimp the regulus. It would just make you have to be in the area to hurt someone rather than hiding off in the distance.
That would make Regulus into ano
1. What can I do to increase my creep killing in the starting levels yet not completely gimp myself should an enemy DG show up?
I've never seen this as a problem. Level 1 Angelic Fury usually keeps me farming creeps nicely throughout the game. In fact, I often enough never update it to level 2 until well after experience leverl 10. I only use mines to farm creeps once they have priests or worse out in the fields, and by then, I usually have level 3 in

How do you win a Demigod game? Think about it. Here's an attempt at disecting the various aspects of the Demigod gameplay design: RTS - In an RTS game, you often build a base. Not so here, it's already built. You plan troop movements. Not so here, they always move according to a predefined pattern. You attack from the flanks. Not so here, you are forced into narrow corridors. You plan ambushes

Here's a scenario for you to ponder about: I was just in a game where a top 100 ranked player got schooled by a newbie (according to Pantheon statistics anyway), which was fascinating all by itself, but even more fascinating to me was how we lost. Our team fared pretty well about up until level 8 or so. Then the other team got catapults first and later giants. They also managed to get one of our portals, and then the other (the first was good and sneaky and all, but the second

Since the last patch, I'd like to revise the numbers: 10% of the time, I get an unhandled exception. 10% of the time I get a "desync detected". 80% of the time, someone quits/crashes, and then another player quits... ...after that another player quits... ...after that another player quits... ...after that anot

If a "Desync Detected" dialog pops up in the game, and I am about to cast mines or such, I DO NOT GET A CURSOR SO I CANNOT CLOSE THE DIALOG! The thing is, in a game where this dialog pops up, it doesn't just pop up once, but every few bloody seconds or so, making the game almost unplayable! I must add that this game has seemingly just gotten worse and worse with patches, regarding the online experience. This is now nowhere near retail status. This is like playing an early beta

How do you know if someone has rage quit, or crashed? And if someone gets disconnected, and the rest of the team disconnects, should they also get punished? If two or more on a team disconnects, and the others want to restart the match and also disconnect, does everyone get punished? The above scenarios have now happened to me countless times in this game.

Disregarding the fact that the number of disconnections counter on my profile page doesn't count up properly (another broken thing), it doesn't show the truth behind why I disconnected: 20% of the time I get an unhandled exception which crashes the game. 20% of the time I loose connections to another player and get booted (1.01 might fix this, I don't know). 60% of the time, another player crashes, looses connection or rage quits, making another player quit, a

Heart of Life is already a crystal away from the home base (something which should be eliminated from the game, imo) and combining that with the Orb of Defiance can basically create a "panic room" in the middle of combat, give you an "extra life" or whichever allegory you prefer.

We were 6 players in the lobby, all ready, but the host said that he couldn't start the game because someone was trying to connect. Shouldn't that be a bug? Who cares if someone is trying to connect when all slots are full and everyone is ready? But then, a second or so before launch, a player simply vanished from his spot, and the game launched into the loading screen, with a "wait for other players" popup that lasted about 30 seconds. Once in the game, I find myself
It is a video game, the whole bunch of simetrical maps seems totally unlikely but hey, that is the only way to have a balanced gameplay. As for the helmets, there was a debate amongst the devs: some wanted to use glyphs (or enchantments i am not really sure of the name used). Glyphs allowed the stacking without problem but at the end, the devs decided to go for the equipement in order to make things easier for the newbie

Don't you find a Demigod wearing two helmets rather silly? How about five chestpieces? Three weapons? I know people will crack jokes about this, or be upset that their infinite mana combo doesn't work anymore. But even if this is by design, it surely sounds like a design flaw. So, please: Make item slots restricted to one item per type and draw a proper symbol in the slot for that type.

18 Replies 7,706 Views

Ah, now I get it. I still think that the 3000 damage at level 1 you're talking about only applies to one demigod and only if that one demigod is stupid enough not to back away when he gets hit the first time (remember, no tracking at level 1). So the other two have ample time to level up faster still. So I still don't think there's a chance in hell they can get ahead by only doing this. And the Regulus mines aren't that effective until level 3 in my exprience, and even then, t
