I'm patched up, both drivers and gal civ. I've switched video cards from gf2 to ati 9500 pro. I haven't had the game work since I've upgraded. I have removed the old install and reinstalled a clean version. I've tried setting my desktop to 16 bit and that didn't work either. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a screenshot of a wierd graphical bug. A sector changed its influence color to orange and there are no planets, let alone any other races, in that sector. Also its at the bottom of the galactic map so I know im the only civilization around. Here's the pic: http://www.planettribes.com/toontexture/pics/gc-bug.jpg

no it shouldn't. There could be a little thumbs up/thumbs down in the diplomacy screen. as for starbases you could place a small empire icon in the upperleft (just like the resource icon is in the lower right).

I dont see it. Is it a later version addition? I'm only playing the first version of the game since its really my roomate's copy. Actually that brings me to my next point. I can't find a copy of this game for my own ANYWHERE!! While I'd usually opt for buying the game online, i cant afford it since its in US prices and Im in canada. The game becomes pretty friggin expensive when the price is converted. So has the game been released in canada? I would hope so, cause if not Ive bee

Suggestion. Auto launch definable ship types from a planet when they are built!! When I get my empire going i start to crank out constructors like a mad fool. I usually play on the gigantic star system so it takes forever when I cycle through the GNN(?) screen looking for the built constructors. It would be way faster to have the ships be auto launched from a system's orbit and then i could just use tab to find them all... :D

Haha, so true. I once created 5 dreadstars and deployed 3 of them towards the three remaining civs (I had to toast the 4th civ when they found that rare artifact of power). It was slow moving them but when a dread star would enter a system adjacent to systems with other populated worlds the worlds would defect to me right away. It was sweet. LOL
