Quoting rainwolfj, reply 6 Yes, monday will bring much godly blood shed and destruction, and a good time shall be had by all. Who wants to fear my mighty hammer? Depending on which side we decide on (Our Demigod choices may change once we try all

Is Stardock going to keep the download on Monday only available to the beta testers, or is it going to release it to the mainstream too, because: A. I want the money to stay at Stardock. and B. I'm too lazy to go to the "local" Gamestop, considering it's like, 10-15 miles out of city limits. It's still up in the air I believe, but earlier th
I think the game will come out and there will undoubtedly be bug fixes and balancing to be done first. Eventually we will see the two new Demigods based on how things go with the game ( Demigods to try and balance things out ) and we will see a few new maps. After that I think we will see occasional map releases... and from there I hope to see a map editor toolset for the game. From what people have said so far it seems

He's trying to run a scam I think, since the financial transaction runs when they send you the key, not when you register it. His story is thus: He bought the game at GameStop, and when he put in the key on Impulse it (This is where the story gets stupid) thought it was the key he got from his preorder (Despite that I assume it knows that was the code of a boxed version, since they have serperate SKUs) and then it ran the charge for his preorder, which

Simeple facts are GameStop requested to sell it early meaning that they KNEW and respected the street date, even if the boxes came in unmarked there should've been a flag and memo about them in the system (I used to work for a GameStop store, I know how they work Avalon, quit acting special because you have a job any 16 year old who can write can get). However, the boxes come in unmarked, there is no streetdate listing and there are no marking on the shipping list.. someone changed some

I assure you, Frog, that no such sticker was in place on your game. I was the one who processed the incoming shipment of Demigod at my store.
Distro centers removed the stickers before sending them to the stores, thus allowing the employees to claim incompete

Yes they can sue, for losses felt by everyone else because people go to GS to get the game first, there can also be fines, shame, and not dealing with them in the future.

I also know that what GS is doing is not only horrible but also not out of character for them, this kind of stuff happens all the time with them. Additionally I know that it wouldn't be overly complex to push it out today and that it wouldn't be too hard to call up a

Wouldn't a simple solution to be push the Direct Download release up to now? I have a download preorder in but am mad tempted to go buy the boxed copy. I'm not going to because I support fellow game designers and not greedy ass corporations, but it seems like by not responding with a early release you're punishing the people loyal enough to wait it out and rewarding those who buy early from GameStop.
