Although I am on East Coast, I'd join you on a couple of games around 8-10PM on West coast (lag is not an issue despite the time zones, my connection is more than decent). I play whatever DG is needed, but mostly play support (so I often end up being only as good as my teammates in those cases). I've been playing since release, so I happen to know the game pretty well. Just let us know how you would like to coordinate setting up games (three cheers for SDs crappy chat and

There are a lot of 'issues' with regards to how to properly reward the person/people involved in killing an enemy DG, but all those issues would be moot if they simply implemented a penalty for death (for example, a ressurect sickness that decreases gold and exp by 50% for 3 minutes; many others have also been suggested). This would put an end to suiciding, the Erebus vial bug, feeding, imbalance caused by early deaths, and also the simple fact that tons of issues would not have to be j
Actually, you are quite wrong; what the op proposed would be difficult (not impossible) to code as their are a ton of factors to consider about distributing money using that method. For example, imagine someone who is in an extremely long fight (say 5 minutes), and during that time they were healed, shielded, used potions, attacked by towers, attacked by creeps, attacked by enemy DGs, etc, keeping track of all that data to split the money would be very intensive. I believe the cur
You should be able to get kills on Erebus if you pickup silence to stop him from misting and swarming away when low. If you can catch Reg he would be in trouble, but good Regs will stay far away. One (or both) of you will want to pickup the slowing gloves (likely Oak); otherwise you give them the speed advantage. If both of you invest in store bought minions, you two should have a small army that can burst down towers pretty quickly. As someone mentioned before, different ra
I think you get experience/gold from your minions attacking creeps (not sure if this is range limited). You may want to send out your minions to nearby lanes. Although Sedna is very hard to push out of a lane, so I think there may be other issues affecting your inability to level quickly.
It amazes me to what lengths some people will go to so that they can justify their need to stomp pugs. Yes, this game doesn't allow team matching yet, but why not take your team and go against the many obvious premade games that sit open for long periods of times. It's perfectly fine to tell the pugs that going against premades is a challenge (premade doesn't equal skill, but it means they have an advantage and it's not exactly a 'fair' game), but premade versus premade is practic
Minions can be extremely useful when used properly. If minions were to grant exp/gold, as I think they should to create some accountability for the minions you create, then assassins need to have the gold/exp given upon their death increased, to compensate for the fact that generals are producing gold/exp by using their minions.
Someone has already mentioned cleaning out the dust in your computer, but I would like to reiterate this, because I also had a GeForce 8600 and it had a dust dragon lodged in between the fan and the heatsink which caused it to overheat. If you have the tools, I recommend removing the faceplate of the video card and using compressed air to thoroughly clean out the inner workings of the card.
Excellent suggestions; they all sound reasonable and desirable!
May want to incorporate a change to the Horn favor item, as it is extremely powerful when used on small maps (or Leviathon) with normal towers. Instead of the horn granting +200 health per second for 10 seconds, it should give a flat +2000 or +1500 heal. As it stands, at the start of the game minions cannot be killed in under 30 seconds (the minion refresh rate) when a low level demigod is attacking them (archers will fire out of range of towers and are the first to be used in thi
Wow; absolutely amazing!
Very nice idea! It would be nice if it could function as either a active or passive slot, but that might get tricky coding wise.
Very novel and great suggestion! To expand upon your idea, I think they should really consider altering the Citadel upgrade 'Graveyard' to incorporate 10%/20%/40% less gold and experience rewarded upon player death (could even go so far as to include mob death to counteract the effect of the enemy getting the 'Experience' Citadel upgrade). This would change the 'Graveyard' skill from being the worst upgrade (right now it rewards the players for dying), to a very lucrative
Clan support and a 'working' friends application are essential to the longevity of this game. This is a 'social' multiplayer game, yet it's extremely difficult to keep in contact with many of the people you come across, unless everyone relies on third party applications. If the majority of people that PuG now had an easier time of forming clans and keeping in contact with people on their friends list, the competitiveness of this game would skyrocket because there would be a lot mo
The community may have not created the problem, but they sure aren't helping it any. A good portion of the premade community continues to not label their games, lies when confronted if they are premade, and joins games explicity labeled 'no premades'. Not everyone can convince their friends to play a game that has had horrible connection issues, broken core multiplayer features, no voice support, no clan support, a horrible friends system, and to top it all off is really a multipl
I have to agree with others posting in that winning 100 games against PuGs is not really impressive, but managing to not get the game to crash is. What's really funny though is that those that run with premades complain about how there aren't any premades to play against, yet last night for the hour I played, 8 out of the 10 games I bothered to search the host showed they were premades with over 90% wins. Now isn't that odd?
The Diamond Pendent can be nice, but I only use it as a substitute if I chose a build that does not involve Magnificent Presence. Blood of the Fallen (800 +5/sec HP) helps a lot in initially holding lanes, since most buy rank 1 priests at the start and do not have enough gold to buy any +HP items. I typically wait for 200g to buy a mana pot, and between the high HP, the priests, and extra mana, I can hold an initial lane for quite a while before I decide to go back and shop.
Is it really that hard to put 'premade' or 'PreM' in the title of your game? Trust me, your complaints will end after that, but so will your high win rate, which you probably care more about.
What should likely be done to correct the issue is to put varying amounts on +HP on all items, and have Helms deal with mana/regen, Chestplates deal with armor and hp regen, Gloves deal with attack/attack speed, Boots deal with speed/evasion, and Trinkets have misc. effects. This would resolve a lot of issues with just about everyone stacking HP/Armor.
In game lobby: -Option to have only 1 specific demigod per group -Option to hide the opposing team's demigod selection, so that teams cannot attempt to make counter classes prior to just starting the game -Show simspeed for each player -Show region for each player
I think a lot of the rage quitting will fade once clan support comes in. When the norm is to play with a clan of friends, you won't see very many people rage quitting on their friends. As it stands, games typically involve a PuG where the teammates don't know each other, so they could care less about abandoning their teammates. Sadly, given the horrible friend system currently in place, and relatively small player base, it can be hard to really create any decent network of f
Someone made a suggestion in a post a while back about losing gold upon death instead of gaining gold upon kill. This change would alleviate the problem, but I also support having AI be worth no gold and less exp. Something needs to be done soon, so the team with AI at least has a chance.
It's very frustrating when a horde of your minions causes you to accidentally select them and then be unable to move your demigod. There needs to be an option to disable minion selection by mouse (i.e. key command only to select the minions). Sadly, as of this point, minions are a down right pain to control, and losing control of your demigod to move them can be extremely dangerous. There have been many times I wanted to attack/escape, and clicking through the sea of minions
Stats in general are poor indicators of how well someone plays this game. The fact that almost all games end up with people dropping, rage quitting, AI subs, or are PuG vs. Pre-made, it really doesn't help that people are now cheating to inflate their rating. I wouldn't look at ratings until Stardock/GPG decides to remedy a lot of the problems ailing the game.
I think the lesson learned here is don't play Pantheon. Custom games are much better, and you don't have to deal with the bs of Pantheon. Give them a few months to fix Pantheon and try again.
