i usually copy SRO (and pretty much every other high-Elo gator for the past 3 years) by making sure to build Tiamat or a Timat item first. The amount of lane pressure it gives is really instrumental - it's not just about the W cancellation. i think that i tend to build slightly tankier than him AFTER the first item compared to high-Elo gators. i've always like to build Black Cleaver (even pre-rework) on him as a 4th item since it acts like a LW but with some health st

Renekton should be applying at least 4 stacks... His W applies 2 un-empowered, 3-empowered and if you use an empowered W you have enough time to very, very easily get 1 more autoattack before due to the prolonged stun duration. Ideally, you should be going: (~80 fury) > E over creeps > auto > Q (=> 50 fury) > W (=> 0 fury) > auto > E out One you have Tiamat you get 2 more autos since you get to auto-cancel your W, for one more "free"

grats on 100 pages (again) i think that Feast is one of the best T2 masteries... i think most high ELO folk are using feast + biscuits + minion damage. That said, Renekton does have pretty great sustain, so DES is probably better on him than most other. But, SRO tends to build higher-damage which makes DES pretty risky. Sorcery is probably better than Fury but maybe he was playing against a tank? i can see AS being slightly better for very long, extended fights.

i do agree that he's pretty straightforward. His laning isn't quite as absurd as it used to be, but you can still get easy level 3/6 kills if your opponent doesn't respect you. While Thunderlords is OP and probably the best keystone this patch, i still think that Fervor will be the best for him once everything gets balanced out (and the fact the flat ArP in Cunning >>> ArP in Ferocity since the buff which was also pretty dumb). i've been going the +200%

No, i agree that nearly every class was nerfed this or last patc, and i'm generally relatively neutral about Malz/Anivia nerfs (except i wish they focus on DFT first), and Brand clearly needs to be tuned. i believe that Riot wanted to "only-slightly" increase the "power budget" of all classes over the entire course of the game, but did want to specifically reduce some classes "power budget" specifically (Morellonomicon mages being the big one). Some classes got too much power (Yas

RE: #meta: Thunder, i'm a bit surprised with you! You generally seem to understand Riot's ... predisposition for balancing around #LCSBIGPLAYS by allowing certain champions to have "assured viability" but being rather heavy-handed on other champs who honestly haven't had enough time in the spotlight yet. HOWEVER: ever since the juggernaut patch, champs like Brand, Anivia and Malz have had favorable metas and correspondingly high winrates. Of course, a lot of their

i'll throw in my expierence... Back when i used to play the game a few years ago, i had pretty high DPI settings (3200?). i think the high DPI always contributed to my poor CS the first 5-minutes on Anivia :) Now that i play a lot less, i have much lower DPI settings. i'm currentlu only 1500, and thinking of dropping it down a little, since recently when i "panic flash" half the time i move my mouse too far and move the screen completely off my cha

Should just nerf the Deathfire Grasp mastery \: A lot simpler than nerfing everyone who uses the mastery "too well". Plus, didn't they just nerf it? Or are nerfing it? i'll freely admit that Anivia has been in a favorable meta for a few months now (good against Juggernauts, TP midlane has always been decent on her, most recently: Deathfire Grasp OP), and planned tweaks that will make the games a little slower will benefit her as well. She's clearly not weak if she's be

Nice table :P
Valor buff being an instant mark is helpful, but its buggy. Instant means you need any aa's in progress don't proc it as it appears. Any attack that you queue up instantly after it appears or starts to appear seem to proc. Kind of weak imo.
Quinn not proc'ing her passive mid-air has always been a design intention... ever since she was released. When she attacks a marked target, she gets a buff. The p

Boots are mostly for melee matchups since you get "free" blue cards early game or if you're worried about being ganked early since TF has to push to be aggressive and is SUPER squish. You would probably want to go dorans against mage matchups. The boots aren't really for the level 6 teleport since you'll often be hoom/oom.
OK - lets give that start a go if it ever happens again (you know... because junglers let ya start gromp all the time). I'll take full xp in that instance and attempt to bully and get relic procs. You think that's the best way to do it? Support hits 2 prior to lane? Not really sure. Not going to complain about that start though.
<div id="ctl00_ctl00__Content__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl22__ReplyBody" clas
re: 1 - that's either something I did wrong or you did wrong, and I'm not quite sure which. In one game, we did a gromp or dbls start. The main reason to that is either to get 1 of us to level 2 or to take an all in shot if we hit level 2 first (which we should hit 2 first). We didn't hit 2 first though, which had a lot to do with you not pounding down cs to give us that all in opportunity. Eg lack of communication - but I will add that I re

Yo pacov, nice games botlane recently. Since i know you've been working on your Thresh and stuff, couple comments. Hopefully it doesn't seem too out of place - but let me know if it is! Obviously i am rusty as well, and there have been a few miscommunications either with me being oom or me using Ez E just as you use lantern, etc, so i'm sure i have stuff to improve on also! Espiecially since i'm still getting used to my mouse and i sometimes press the recall button ins
Ping went from 135 down to 75 now. Which is funny because that is the same ping I remember having 4 years ago when I first started, no clue what happened during that time.
The servers moved from LA to Portland. If you live somewhere in around Texas that is semi-equidistant to both Chicago and LA, but far from Portland, that could explain it. </div
No, I'm boycotting SR games for the time being. Skarner is two of my friends favorite champion and I'm not going to play this game until he's buffed back into viability. Hedgie and Karl warned me that his rework would make him horribly underpowered and in honor of them I'm only playing ARAMs until Skarner is good enough to take onto The Rift. Or the rework that made him not viable is undone. #Solidarity
Hey man

Thunder is gonna get /destroyed/ i disagree with the evaluation of their "central west coast" getting sub-80 ping... i'm currently getting a stable 80 ping which is perfectly playable, but it's suppose to increase by another 20-30 ms, and 100ms is where i know it becomes harder to "do" certain things. Frustrating. That said, pinging a random Chicago servers gives me a roughly 67ms ping for some and 77ms ping for others. So /maybe/ it'll get better, or stay the same
I've been playing quite a bit of marvel heroes lately, some other folks are super into hearthstone.
Yeah i think a bunch of people here screw around in hearthstone. None of us are super high rank though... i've been trying to beat Sword of the Stars: The Pit, which is a Sci-Fi Roguelike in the SotS Universe (which is one of my favorite <3). i've already had about 100 hours into the game, mostly being stubborn and p
