Haha, every time this bug seems to go away, the next "fix" brings it back. For the last few days I've had 1350 Favor points in every game I joined, able to buy an item (which wouldn't save, obviously). Now I'm back to 0 all the time.
To summarize: 1) Don't kill a weakened enemy DG I'm fighting. I'd rather have all the gold myself. 2) Sedna players must heal me at all times. 3) QoT players must shield me at all times. 5) All Rooks must have Boulder Roll. 6) Do not chase enemy DGs or buy items unless I deem it correct to do so. 4) Players who tell other players what to do and how to play are annoying. Switching stances for the bonuses is key to playing TB correctly. The mana regen and weapon damage are both significant. I definitely see where the OP is coming from. Demigod is not a very flashy or visually interesting game. I've found that a Fire and Ice build, taking the Ice abilities + Fireball, is one of the most powerful overall DGs in the game from mid-game on. You have AoE, support, utility and extreme burst damage.
Well this problem has progressed to the point that the game is completely unplayable for me. Even in 3v3 games, I get constant spikes every 10 seconds or so. My ping will jump up 200-300 points to everyone for a split second. I have a Radeon 4870 and my ISP is Comcast.
Torch Bearer definitely has the best VO and the best lines. The funniest by far is him directly quoting from Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" (and willing to sacrifice). The other pop culture nods I can see ("I believe I can fly", etc.), but a Foreigner reference in the middle of this game is absurdly random. After hearing that, I was surprised to not hear any lines from "Hot Blooded" for Fire TB.
I have stopped playing Sedna completely solely because of this bug. Previously my favorite DG, I'm simply sick and tired of not even being able to heal half the time, let alone watching a DG that I'm actively attacking turn around and run away with 200 HP left, watching as Sedna stops attacking and stands there brain dead, or getting stuck with a flag pole sticking out of the middle of my character. I have the exact same issue and it only started after the last patch. For me, 3v3 games are usually fine. Anything above that is when I get what are frankly unexplainable spikes. Sometimes I see my ping numbers spiking, sometimes they don't but the game still hitches. My ports and router are all configured correctly, I have absolutely no problem connecting to anyone, get low ping and my system destroys this game on High at 1920x1080. It's seriously annoying me.
Near as I can tell, this just started for me with the last patch. I could connect to games and play since launch, even when there were tons of problems. I have everything configured as best as I can manage. Basically I connect quickly with everyone, have perfectly fine ping in the lobbies. However, as soon as the game starts, I periodically get huge spikes where the game lags and my ping to everyone jumps up to like 300-400 for a split second then returns to normal.
